Daddy Will Bring Us to Safe Shores

One of my favorite depictions of the story of Noah comes from the 1966 Dino DeLaurentiis production called "The Bible… In the Beginning", directed by John Huston. In the film, Huston also portrays Noah in an engaging, ample performance. His depiction of the patriarch is much like I imagine him, particularly in the scene where a dove sent out by Noah brings back a freshly-plucked olive leaf, alerting the faithful eight to the existence of dry land. Noah’s wife and sons and their wives are so jazzed at the prospect of standing once more upon the earth, one son actually suggests they “build a rudder and a sail so that we can find land…”
To his words, father Noah offers a wise, yet solemn rebuke:

“What sail shall discover the winds?  What rudder find our course?  The breath of the Lord God shall divide the waves – and His hand only, lead us into safety.”

Amen! Dear ones, the same God Whose hand has brought you through every trial and tribulation of life will not back out when your ship spots land! There is no need for us to construct our own guidance systems or remedies to any situation, ever, for God's very Breath will see us through safely.  And Who is the very Breath of God? None other than His precious HOLY SPIRIT! Hallelujah!

Hang on through the end, beloved! If you trust God, He will bring you out! He will bring us through the end of every mission, every assignment, and every circumstance we undertake on His behalf. We have His promise that He will finish the good work He began in us; He will complete it to the day of Jesus Christ, according to Philippians 1:6.  That's good enough for me!  ;0)

Never take matters into your own hands, beloved.  TRUST DADDY to lead the ship of your life’s journey into safety by His All-Powerful Spirit. Remember, He is Faithful. Amen!
