We are Dearly Loved

"The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein."  (Psalm 24:1)
I'm humbled and softened in heart every time I think of Daddy's immense love for us.

He made this blue planet and placed us - His ultimate, most complex and blessed creation -  upon it to rule and reign.  He made a collection of His favorite things and placed us in charge of them.  Considering He dearly loves ALL the work of His hands, the truth of His pristine earth being placed in the hands of mankind to govern and maintain manifests His even greater love and trust of us.  I don't know about anyone else, but I only entrust dear ones to the heart and hands of even dearer ones - know what I mean?  I'm not going to give what's precious to me into the hands of strangers or incompetents.  No way.

God really trusted us... and we blew it.

Where others would have given up on us, beloved, Daddy did not.  He remedied our dire mistakes by loving us even more.  Who says LOVE isn't the ultimate cure?  Who says LOVE won't cover a multitude of sins?  It covered all of ours, didn't it?  Most assuredly, it did.

The blue planet and all of its inhabitants belongs to Almighty God, and He holds it and us extremely dear.  Nothing of His creation means more to Him than mankind... literally, the "kids" He made in His own image.  We are His, this earth is His, and He loves us.  That's a truth the enemy never wants us to consider, let alone absorb and own.

We are dearly loved.  Dearly loved.  All the time.  Let's not ever forget that.

A Poem of Understanding

God knows the trials that, daily, we face
trying to mirror His love and His grace.

He treasures the littlest things that we do
and sends great reward in His timing to

encourage our gladness and strengthen our hearts
that though we don't dare to share all our thoughts

He knows what they are and knows them right well;
His love never faults us for wanting to tell

the things that just make us 'look good' in His sight.
He knows of our struggles and sees through the night

upon all our hardships and stresses and faking;
He urges we strip off the frauds, undertaking

the knowledge of His unconditional love
so we can stand honest before Him with 'tubs'

sitting upright and full of His patience and care
overflowing with honesty, willing to share

all the "uglies" with Him; all the good and the bad,
and the prideful events, and the thoughts that we've had.

God wants us to take all the time that we need
to be naked and truly confess every deed

so His love and forgiveness can take full affect
to repair and renew our dear hearts from shipwreck.

So that we can come boldly before His Great Throne
with love everlasting that our hearts have known

belongs to us solely from now 'til the end
purifying us holy like our greatest Friend.

He's ally, He's Faithful, He's our Mighty Father
to His heart we're precious and never a bother.

Encourage my heart, Sovereign God of all flesh!
You've saved me completely from all threat of death.

My life is Your canvas and Your tapestry
I'm rescued from ruin and, from sin, set free!

Blessing God for the Dream

I praise God for the strong ancestry from which I descend - first in the Body of Christ and then as a member of the Black race.  As the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech is commemorated, I praise God for every person of EVERY race who marched in unity with God's sentiments for brotherhood expressed through MLK.

The blood of four nations of the earth courses through my veins in clear, God-given representation of the "dream" Martin spoke about that hot August day in 1963, two years before I was a glint in my mother's eye.  In many ways since then, his dream has come true.

Neither I nor any of my black acquaintances have had to stop on the side of the road to relieve ourselves because of laws prohibiting our use of proper sanitation facilities.  I have never had to use inferior restrooms and water fountains and restaurants for any reason whatsoever, let alone the color of my skin.

Although I have tasted racial discrimination in my lifetime (as many people of various ethnic backgrounds have), I have never suffered to the point of bloodshed or incarceration as hundreds of courageous souls did during the Civil Rights era.  Because of their bravery, my generation has largely "overcome", and I owe them my solemn thanks.

I can vote freely, I can eat where I want, relieve myself like a decent human being in any public facility I choose, and I can be educated to the fullest extent of financial and collegiate offerings available.  I have never been made to feel like an animal just because I am black, and I PRAISE ALMIGHTY GOD for breaking the back of segregation in this country through faithful sons and daughters of Jesus Christ like Martin Luther King, Jr.

In every way King spoke of, by God's power, I am living the dream he and many like him of every race and creed died to bring about.

Have we still got a ways to go?  As long as sin is in the world there will be prejudice in the stream of every race, so - yes we do.  But have we come a LONG way by the grace of Almighty God?  Absolutely, Gratefully, Resoundingly... YES we have.

Thank You, Jesus.

Blessing our God for the dream,
Daddy's Girl

Thanksgiving in Song

"Great is Thy faithfulness, O, God my Father; there is no shadow of turning with Thee.  Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not.  As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be...

Great is Thy faithfulness, great is Thy faithfulness.  Morning by morning new mercies I see.  All I have needed Thy hand has provided; great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me."

(Thomas O. Chisholm & William Runyan, 1923)

Thanksgiving delivers us from the trials of this life.  David encouraged himself in the Lord with thanksgiving; Moses wrote powerful Psalms of thanksgiving.  The coffers of the Most High God are opened on our behalf when we render thanksgiving to His Mighty Name!  Think of all He has done for us - saved our souls from Hell, protected us from seen and unseen dangers, blessed our storehouses with food and clothing and warmth in winter and given us the power to get wealth... the list is completely endless and, to say the very least, Daddy deserves our constant thanksgiving!

Lift your voice to Him in song - He loves to hear you sing, believe me.  It doesn't matter how you think it sounds to you, beloved, it sounds beautiful to Him because He's listening to your heart.

"Bless the Lord, O, my soul and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name."  (Psalm 103:1)

May our God fill your souls and voices with humble thanksgiving toward Him always,

Expect and Accept God's Challenge of Refinement

Tissot_Moses_and_Joshua_in_the_Tabernacle wikipedia  US public domain
Remember that, many times, the Lord makes requests of us which are supremely challenging to our emotions just to see if we are willing to obey Him.  He will test His work in us to know how deeply He can trust us.  As God’s trust of your character and obedience grows, He will entrust more and more to your heart and hands in unconditional love.  As God gives you more, more will be asked of you in demonstrating His character to others on His behalf.  Count on it.  But Daddy will only turn up the heat once His shields of protection around us are fortified to withstand it.  God is the Faithful Guardian of our reward in Him as He transforms us into the image of His Dear Son.  Hang on to Jesus, and allow the Father to accomplish His work in you.
“Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”  (Joshua 1:9)
Abba's strength and courage be to all of you, in Jesus Christ's Mighty Name.

Draw near to God, TODAY

With tenderness I bare my breast unto the Most High God and He sacredly views my heart. Our hearts are precious to Him... they house the true meaning of us.

When He has granted favor, His scepter glistens, outstretched to me as He bids me enter. Nothing of purity or splendor or grace holds more richness than the tender warmth of His hands, and His lips upon my brow.

My Father loves me.

I need that tender love more than I need the air to breathe.  With tenderness He surrounds me and comforts me and supports me.  He is my only support, though I draw comfort many times from His blessed children who also surround and envelop my heart with favor. I am loved and I know it.  I am singularly blessed to be in His Body's heart, which spans the globe.

Christ's garments contain favor, everlasting, and we are His beloved Bride.

Do you know the excellence of Your Father's love for you?  Do you feel the fervor with which He adores you, the loving kindness of His heart, and the strength of His commands and edicts in JOY which He declares every day on your behalf?  They're all there, waiting.

Reach out to Him today in prayer with no one seeing.  How you are with your closet door closed is how you are, and Daddy wants to know everything proceeding from your hearts towards Him.  If it's anger He can handle it; if it's grief He can comfort it; if it's doubt, fear, or unbelief our God will bend over backwards to prove Himself Faithful to you again and again. The lengths of His plan stretch eternally onward to bring you to life everlasting and secure you to His side in sheltering love and empowering resource.

He is our only Strength and, therefore, our only JOY.

God's favor is more precious than life.  Seek it with your whole heart set on honest communication with Him today.  Seize the day, the minute, the hour - don't wait for His Spirit to move towards you - move towards Him, and you'll find that Holy Spirit has been there, waiting, all along!  Draw near to God and you will see that He is all around you!  He knows your name, and He knows your circumstance in every detail, beloved.  He wants you, and He wants you to welcome Him into every area of your life.

Resolve in your heart to honor Him as your only, best, and eternal Friend.

If at all possible, do it today.

Let's pray...

[Merciful Father, I pray Your strength and power in a lifeline to all those uncertain about choosing You today.  Whether seeking a deeper walk with You or choosing You for the first time, I ask that You bless these souls with Your ability to choose righteousness to cover their lives and Your Spirit to lead and guide them in the Way.  Christ Jesus, I remand everyone reading this post to Your custody, and I pray Your heart of eternal and unconditional love will pierce through every dark place to bring life everlasting that they will be strengthened, and that they will be saved.  In Jesus' Name I pray.  Amen.]

God bless you.

Three Words God Really Likes: Part 3

Over the last two posts, I've shared with you what God has said are three words He really likes.  No doubt there are millions of words among His favorites, but He spoke three specifically to me that mean a great deal to Him in terms of redemption and hope and life. Those words are: AGAIN.  NEW.  FOUND.  Today, the series concludes with what God has put on my heart about that last word.

The word found is a word of rejoicing, JOY, and jubilation.  It is a word of discovery and priceless revelation.  Found implies victory in clear thinking and recovery of one’s Godly senses and direction, as in the case of the prodigal.
“But when he came to himself, he said, ‘how many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare and I perish with hunger!  I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son.  Make me like one of your hired servants.  And he arose and came to his father.”  (Luke 15:17-20a)
Upon his son's repentant return, the father wisely declared the righteousness of his rejoicing and celebration, relaying to his eldest son the gravity of triumph transpiring in their midst when he said, "for this my son was dead and is now alive; he was lost and now is found."

The Best of
Found is family and future and structure and rudder.  It conveys backing and substance and rescue; foundation (or establishment) and worth.  It is a major catalyst for thanksgiving, vantage point, and forward motion in strength, confidence, and security.

Found is what we are when we come to Christ.  No longer dead, but alive and rightful inheritors of life; regulated, monitored, accepted, positioned, and received in righteousness and righteous holdings.

When we stand in our foundation with and of God, all that He has is ours – so we become inheritors of all things, the richest of which is eternal Life.  Eternally “found” and founded/established in Christ Who is, Himself, LIFE.

“I Am the Way, the Truth, and the LIFE...”  (John 14:6a)
“I Am the Resurrection and the LIFE.”  (John 11:25a)

Hallelujah! It doesn’t get any better than that!

Thanks for joining me on this fun and revelatory journey.

Three Words God Really Likes: Part 2

I have shared God's impressions on my heart about the word "again" as part one of a three-part series on three words God really likes.  As promised, today we're discussing the next word:

It’s a word of daily beginnings and it’s a word of final consummation.  It’s a word of forgiveness and of promise.
“Then He Who sat on the Throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’ ” (Rev. 21:5a)
Hooray!  The concept of newness, in and of itself, is one we greatly prize – it’s a place to which we all want to go.  New implies variety and inspiration; it emphasizes the benefit of “forget” in the redemptive phrase forgive and forget.

The Best of
New is a Daddy’s word...  it’s a “fix it” term which assures healing, complete restoration, and warm, sunny, daybreak.  How many of us were promised we’d “get a new one” of whatever it was we broke as children?  The thought of new is always better than that of used; new incites positive anticipation and relief, in and of itself, in things of the natural here on earth as well as within the heart of God.

The Lord knows the day is coming when sin and sickness and pain and sorrow and death will be no more.  The permanence of new things will dwell in the land.  Daddy wields the truth of that term to heal and soothe us with hope and perseverance and encouragement.  God savors its gifts in comfort and surprise.  Overall, new just makes you feel better, doesn’t it?
“Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?  I will make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”  (Isaiah 43:19)
God willing, tomorrow we’ll rejoice in the word “found”.

Three Words God Really Likes: Part 1

Sitting at my computer and looking out at the sunny day while praying to God for wisdom is very often how many Daddy's Girl posts take root.  Today was no exception.

It's so cool how Holy Spirit works with us when we simply ask of Him.  I began hearing one word, then another... I pondered on the significance of these words to Daddy, and then I heard yet another.  Then Holy Spirit's soft, baritone voice (as it is usually revealed to my ears) spoke thus:  "These are words the Father really likes."  I knew then I had today's post.

The Best of
Right away it's surmisable why Daddy chose these words; they blend so beautifully with the human experience in redemption and healing.  Also, for me, their mention brings three grippingly wise scriptures to mind.  Let's talk about them over three posts, one by one.

This word is actually kind of a close cousin to the word new, but with a redemptive twist. Its very definition implies a "do-over" mentality blended with an application of patience. It says - we've been to this ground before, but probably without success; so something of newness is needed, but with the patience to stand on familiar ground and not make the same mistakes as before.  Godly expectation, lessons learned, obedience, and patient admonishment is implied in the word "again", especially in phrases like let's start again, I'll say it again, and until we meet again. The phrase from scripture that fills my soul's horn with humility's outcry is accompanied by the familiar, sobering truth that God is the Potter, and we are but the clay:
"The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying: “Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.” Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make. Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?” says the Lord. “Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel!"  (Jeremiah 18:1-6)
So the constant cry from my heart to Abba has been - O, Lord, my God... wherever I have been marred in Your hands, please make me again into another vessel fit for Your service, as it seems good to You!

Friends, when we utter those words from the sincerity of our hearts and mean them like never before in the Presence of God, in His faithfulness, He will answer the pleading of our depths.  He will make us again, anew, as it seems good to Him!  Of this I bear living witness, for many times I have cried that very thing from my soul's bowels before His Throne.  I still cry it, because I am far from flawless, and I desire to own all of my sin and wrongdoing in His sight, that I will be forgiven and exonerated... freed from the bondage of "fear of accountability" and shame in the face of my own Heavenly Father, forever. And always - whenever I do this - He receives me with open arms, and the flood of His goodness repairs, regenerates, and restores my soul to JOY in Him!

HALLELUJAH!  And once refreshed, joyously... we start again.

Lord willing, next we'll talk about the word "new".

Be blessed, beloved.

God Answers with Pad and Pencil

God always answers my quandaries.

He sees me wondering, He hears my questions, and He longs to give me answers.  He wants me to ask Him for the answers, but His kind heart will send answers to me even if I don't (it just takes longer).  He is the kindest person I know.

Not long ago, I asked Him to please link the acumen He's given me in blogging to writing in general.  I've always loved to write, but visiting my talents in the arena of fiction draws on a different place within me.  As I sensed that, I became concerned about whether or not I'd be able to do the same justice to His benevolent Spirit in writing a short story as I have writing blogs and teachings.

The quandary remained for another few days after I made the request.

But then, the desire to continue my short stories came on me while a pad and pencil were near... so I began writing with them.  I was nowhere near my PC or laptop, only near the notebook and pencil, and I embraced them like old friends as storylines rolled through my head.  I was so relieved!  Out came the acumen in the form of  realistic plot progression like I'd been born telling stories, and I realized what a safe place I was in with those familiar  tools.  They really were old friends.

I've discovered that, when I write with pad and pencil, I become a person who can communicate in "story" form.  I recall how much I loved it as a child; escaping to my room and flopping down on my bed with that stationery, knowing I was going to feel better in just a few minutes because I was going to write.  God used it often to comfort me.  It brings tears to my eyes to remember, because that's when I fell in love with writing.  The safety of its environs opens up my emotions to the place of "relational" creativity.  Who knew?!

God knew.

He sent the answer to my quandary in the smooth and simple passage of time, waiting till I was "alone" with my notebook and pencil.  There's nobody like Him, and He knows me better than I could ever hope to know myself.  That's SUCH a marvelous truth.  When will my tears of gratitude ever cease to soak His bosom?  May they ever meet under my chin, drip into His vials of remembrance, and bear testimony to the tides of love for Him bursting through my heart!

I love Him with all of my being.  I truly, truly do.

God Fills Every Void

I enjoy the company of others, but I only need the Presence of God.  That's a very important truth I've learned over the years as He and I have grown closer.

There was a time I thought that if I didn't have a husband with me, the rest of my life would have no meaning.  Moreover, there was a time I thought a husband should "take care of me".  Both those thoughts were fallacious; both put a lot of pressure on men in my life, which was very unfair.

The Lord gently corrected me on those issues.

Husbands and marriage are great, don't get me wrong.  Having someone around to share the load of life's responsibilities and emotional circumstances is very comforting, assuredly.  However, such things had become a "need" in my psyche, infecting and tainting my perceptions and blocking my view of God as "total Source and Supply" for my entire existence.

The Best of
So Daddy made it a priority to deliver me of those perversions.  He set about showing me that my "needs" in every area can only be met "in Him".  In my case, it was also necessary to convince me that drawing on God for everything was okay with Him.  I think that's because I'm basically an "all or nothing" kind of person when it comes to such things.  God knew that if my direction and affections in this critical area were changed, it would be radically and completely.  In other words, I would make Jesus my everything.

In hindsight, we all know this is exactly what God wants.  Establishing that deep level of intimacy with me required intensely delicate applications of patience and wisdom from God - exposing my fears, flooding me with unconditional love, and building my trust.

He did it.

He asked me to trust Him through the process and then, by Holy Spirit's power, He enabled me to trust.  He gave me what I stood in need of so I could learn from Him and be blessed.  His "increase" to my emotions in stability and intimacy, confidence and peace are of immeasurable value, friends.  I testify to such Goodness in Him so that by His power and mercy you also will be encouraged to trust Him in these critical areas.

He will work with you if you are willing.  He will change your psyche and give you peace of mind about being single for as long as His plan for you necessitates.  When "coupling" or - in my case - "recoupling" comes about, the truth of His faithfulness in times of solitude will only serve to strengthen the union He ordains.  Your "needs" won't burden or weigh disproportionately upon a new relationship; rather, they'll be met by the wisdom and power of God and His unfathomable understanding.  Daddy knows everything, and He is a Faithful, Loving teacher.  Thank You, Jesus.

Beloved, do not despair of being "alone" or "without hope" in this life just because you don't have a spouse or children.  Our Lord is ALL THINGS to all people, and He is more than willing to comfort you when you seek Him in these places.  I've learned this first-hand.  He will fill the need in your life for coupling with the Divine Husband we have in Jesus Christ.  Jesus will heal every heart issue.  That's really what we're talking about, anyway... issues of the heart over which our God is Master and Commander.

There is no void He can't fill.  There is no knot He can't untangle in our emotions or anywhere else.  He Himself is our Answer.  "He Himself is our Peace" as the scripture says, and He will humble Himself to prove Himself worthy to His own creation.  Think about that.

Who is like our God?  All Glory to His Precious, Holy Name!  Hallelujah!

I praise Him for showing me this by His own power, and what He's done for me He'll do for whosoever opens their heart to Him.  He is no respecter of persons.  He is the Almighty, Everlasting God and Father of us all, dear ones, and His hand is outstretched to grant healing in your heart today.  Of this I bear living witness and unspeakable thanksgiving.

God bless your hearts with courage to come to Him, unashamed.  He will readily receive you.

Forgiveness: A Closer Look

When you love someone, that's it.  That's the stick-to-itiveness of God.  I love that about Him.  Take a deep breath and decide to forgive someone today - even if it's only yourself; that matters very much, too.  Let God's love prevail.

So much is said about how "wonderful" forgiveness is, and that's true.  But when it really, deeply, and truly comes down to it forgiveness is a choice - it's a decision to say, heck with it, I don't care what you've done (to me or anyone else), I'm going to love you anyway; I'm going to have you in my life and in my arms... anyway.

Tough choice?  Impossible decision?  Only because of fear and pride.  Christ is our Example in all things, and if Christ was devoid of such deadly traits we can be, too, by Daddy's power.

Those aren't just words, beloved - they're truth, they're reality.  They're keys to powerful, overcoming faith and freedom.  Most important, they're breakthrough inroads to pleasing the Father.  How much do you desire to please Him?  Apply prayer to that question, and let it massage the walls of your integrity; let it court your intellect with the God-given clarity prayer brings.

The Best of
If necessary, friends, let it convict you.  Don't be afraid of conviction; it's irrefutably essential to life and growth in Christ.

Once you have decided to forgive, ask Holy Spirit to take you the rest of the way by appropriating that forgiveness to your life and interactions with those who've wounded you, and those you've wounded.  Remember that Holy Spirit is God on the earth, dwelling within us... only God can put our choice to forgive into credible action.

So we'll stop right there and go back to the "decision" part.

Who have you had problems forgiving?  Who really needs forgiveness from you?

In truth, the person most in need of your decision to forgive is you.  Remember that unforgiveness from you means unforgiveness from Daddy.  If you won't forgive others, He can't forgive you.  That truth puts a completely different light on things for me each time I examine it.  Desperately wanting and needing the Father's forgiveness motivates me to forgive others like nothing else, and it takes me right back to the question I asked earlier:

How much do you desire to please God?  Beloved, you're just one righteous choice away from doing so in the truest and greatest avenue of your life.

Let's pray.

[Father God, in Christ's Name, I ask Your forgiveness of me for the sins I've committed that I've known of and not known of, and for every way I've grieved Holy Spirit.  Father, I choose to forgive every person who has sinned against me or wounded me from the beginning of my life to this moment.  I ask that, by Your power, You will enable and appropriate that forgiveness to my life, daily, activating the process of restoration and reconciliation in every relationship ordained by You and, from today forward, wiping the slate of offenses clean within me towards everyone, in Jesus' Name.  Amen.]

White-knuckled "Firsts"

I can't help recalling my first time behind the wheel as a "permit" driver; that's mainly because my Goddaughter Jessica has obtained her driving permit.  She's been practicing over the past few months on New York State highways, as did I.

As most of you know, Jessica is Lynette's daughter... Lynette has been teaching her to drive, and Jess is progressing famously.

When I stepped into the light of day after passing my written permit test, my earthly father handed me the keys to the family contraption - er, I mean, car - and told me we'd only get home if I drove.  Incidentally, our transport was a 20-foot-long, six-foot-wide, Lincoln Town Car Limousine!  Yeah... I kid you not.

The tiny streets of our even tinier city were packed on both sides with parked cars that day, and I nearly lost control of my bodily functions as I tentatively clasped the keys in my determined (yet sweaty) right hand and headed toward that gas-guzzling monstrosity.

Once God mercifully restored my respiration - and I stopped seeing the previous 17 years of life flash before my eyes - the limousine, my earthly father, and I pulled away from the curb onto the roadway.  The actual trip home is a total blank, but the fact I'm typing this post lends proof to my arriving safely - albeit unconsciously - home.  Although I'd aged about five years between the city and our driveway, by the next morning I was calm enough to resume normal growth (and bowel) processes.

At Present

Now it's Jessica's turn to tackle those same highways, and her doing so brings all the "fun" of my past experiences flooding back; it never takes much.  I do know, however, that the same God Who mercifully kept me is also keeping her and, one day, she'll be sharing memories of her white-knuckled "firsts" to His praise, honor, and glory.  ;0)

Thanks for letting me reminisce a while.  I hope you chuckled a bit.

Gushing on God, Again

The things of God were first imparted to me by His Spirit through my mother.  I remember the atmosphere that always surrounded her; even though I didn't understand it, I knew I liked it.  It drew me in ways I didn't fully understand; ways of which I wanted desperately to know more.  So much of His ways in prophecy and supernatural wisdom covered her footsteps; I knew she was not truly “of” this earth, as none of Daddy’s children are.  We are indeed a peculiar people, and the world, the flesh, and the devil are not worthy of us.  That’s not pride, beloved – it’s truth born of God Himself Who is our Father.  I am so glad I belong to Him.

Don’t look out on the world from the porch of your thoughts and emotions with any kind of envy in your hearts; for we are citizens of Heaven and seek another country and city, just as scripture says, beloved; whose Maker and Builder is God.

O, how I love His ways!  And the fragrance He carries is like myrrh in preservation of my hopes and of my soul in Him.  His word of promise is honey to my lips; the fruit of Christ's wisdom covers those I encounter with encouragement and spreads His righteousness to strengthen and refresh the flower of His precepts in hearts reaching up to Heaven.  I’m so glad He’s made me who I am in Him, and I will never again despise my course.

Tell the Lord how grateful you are to know Him today, dear friends.  Here's how grateful I am:

Dear Father Who has caused my eyes to see clearly into Your paths - I love You.  I thank You for Your Wisdom and Your Justice and Your Mercy, truly none of which I ever could live without.  You are the Hearer of Prayers, the God of all Comfort, and the Father of my youth and old age.  From the grave and death’s sting You have saved me, and I alone owe all that I am in grace and power to You.  I Bless Your Holy Name Forever, O, God – I Bless Your Holy Name.  Amen.

With all that is within me,

Daddy’s Girl

My Dream Date with Abba

What would your dream date with Daddy be like?  Think about it.

Mine would be very focused, because I'd be absolutely fixated on His eyes.

I realize I'd have to be totally in my spirit-man, probably dead to the earth and my flesh (but who cares!) in order to actually have my dream date with Abba, because nothing of sin or flesh could remotely survive honest-to-goodness, full-on eye contact with Him.  So I'd give up my life here to have my dream date, and eternal life would be the payoff... the ultimate, supreme, better-than-anything exchange for this awesome, first-in-an-eternal-lifetime encounter.  After all, with Daddy it would be only the beginning!

Yahweh's eyes would tell me everything.  If they are the mirrors of our souls it's because they are first the mirrors of His.  I would scream, and I would cry, and all for JOY.  Tears are possible until that day when they're all wiped away forever, so my tears would flow for JOY.

Then I would touch Him.  I've always wanted to stroke Abba's hair and hold His head gently in my hands.  I want to kiss His forehead as He has kissed mine in life a billion times.  Our Father will make Himself "touchable" for our sake, Saints - since I am by no means the only one who wants to press His immaculate head to my breast.  Nothing is too hard for Him.

I want to kiss His eyelids while I thank Him for transformation into the image of Christ. Most of all, I want to be tender with Him... to show Him tenderness is my ultimate goal with Daddy.  Tender words and kisses, tender caresses, and tender, heartfelt, eternal embrace. I live for that moment to begin all moments, when I will dissolve into His Bosom, never to come out again.  I mean it.  I've never meant anything more.

My dream date with Abba consists of my ultimate expression of love for Who He is and my humbled thanks for all He has done for me - which is everything always.  You know what? One day - by His amazing power and abilities on my behalf - I'm going to have my date with Him.  Just Him.  Just me.  Just Him and me, forever.  It's possible for all of us at the same time, you know... because He is the Almighty God!  HALLELUJAH!

What would your dream date with God be like?  Think about it.

Confidence in God's Provision

God's provision continues in my life, and I can't help thinking about how - just a few short months ago - I was so uncertain about how things would proceed.  Life proceeds month-to-month by His care, just as He promised, with no real problems at all.

I cover that marvelous testimony with His Blood, friends, and I speak His confidence to any of you who are uncertain about His plans for your future.  In a recent word from Daddy through a pastor friend, He told me He holds my present and my future in the palm of His hand.

Let me lend those same assurances to all those who have committed their way to Him.  To all those who yield to Him their substance with a pure heart each day; and to all who yield as best as they know how to yield, I say... our God is FAITHFUL.

His kind consideration is beyond reproach.  He knows life on earth is at times critically difficult and "trying" at best.  He understands, Saints; HE IS THE GOD WHO UNDERSTANDS.  There is no knot He can't untangle - that's just the truth.  So forbid all forebodings their entry to your vessel; don't let them linger any longer than it takes for you to recognize them and cast them out by God's power.  For, truly, they have no part nor lot with God's children, ever!  They have no part nor lot with you.

If you are not God's child through faith in Jesus Christ, all it takes for you to become one of His children is the pure confession of your sins, contritely asking His forgiveness and that He take His place in your heart and life.  After that, you're in!  Sincerity is the key - it's that simple.

I declare that He will provide for you all the days that you live.  Will life be a simple, cottony bed of ease for all the hereafter once you follow Jesus?  Absolutely not.  But with Christ in your life for the first time ever, you'll have the Almighty God fighting your corner; and God is not conquerable.  You've heard me say that before, and it's everlastingly true.

What better bondsman could we have than the Lord Jesus?  HALLELUJAH!

The Lord's provision cloaks my life, and His favor guards me as a shield.  I rest in the pillow that is His mighty Breast, and I put my total confidence in His Life lived within me.  He loves me, Saints.  He loves you.  And He will do whatever is necessary to show us that His Arm is not short, nor is His breath ever devoid of eternal life.  The true and the living God is the most powerful governing force in any universe... and His name is Jehovah.  His Son is Jesus the Christ, King of kings and Lord of lords.  And sweet Holy Spirit is His ever-living, ever-loving, ever-Faithful Breath!  Put your trust in Them today for life; They will never let you go, and They will never let you down, ever.

Bearing Living Witness to God's Faithfulness each day...

DON'T Relinquish Your JOY!

JOY is accessible to us at all times.

Now I know why it's my middle name - its wellsprings truly do go with me every day; I have only to tap into them through intimacy with Daddy.  Today I danced and sang and played my tambourine before the Lord (like I haven't done in days), and His JOY was restored to me, big time.  HALLELUJAH!  I cover that truth and testimony with His Blood, Saints - I'm sooo glad to belong to Him!

What are you glad about today?  Along with all the wonderful things of God's love and life to us, like breathing and proper functioning (which is enough to shout to Him for ages), what makes you glad?  For children, it's enjoying summer with school being out.  For parents, it's the approach of fall and school being back in! ;0)

Seriously, though, focusing on Daddy's JOY really does chase away "the blues", so-called. It keeps them away in the first place, and it keeps civil thoughts and righteous tongues behind our lips.  Just like scripture says, friends - it's our strength.

Probably the best thing God has revealed to us about His JOY is that it's under our complete control in terms of whether we will relinquish it to the enemy, or revel in it and dance Daddy's dread on the devil's head.  I LOVE THAT!  So what am I really saying?

REFUSE to relinquish your JOY, beloved! Jesus has told us that a million times, and His words are as true today as they'll ever be.  He can never be more truthful - He IS the Truth - and if we bind His truth to our loins on earth, it will also be bound to our loins in Heaven. That "binding" thing works in blessing for us as well as it does in certain aspects of warfare against the powers of darkness.

So let's pray...

[Father, in Jesus' Name we bind and buckle Christ's truth in unrelinquished and sustaining JOY to our loins today!  We refuse to give place to the enemy's desires to upset and rob us.   We cover ourselves with the Blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth Who came in the flesh, and we remand ourselves to Your custody, Father, always.  In Christ's Name we pray.  Amen.]

Praising Him for Restoration,
