An Eventful Saturday

Sometimes I wonder what it might have looked like when the crucified Lord descended into Hell and made an "open show" of the enemy, seizing the keys of death and Hell for us...

On Encouragement and Truth

Encouragement without Truth is like Christianity without Jesus; one element simply cannot exist without the other.  So-called Christianity without Christ is a stinking carcass of decadence and drivel; and encouragement without Truth is manipulative and ugly - divisive and cruel.
"A lying tongue hates those it wounds and crushes, and a flattering mouth works ruin." (Proverbs 26:28 AMP)
I once heard it said of someone that, if you flattered them, they would drop their pants. That's one of the unkindest statements I've ever heard, and the sentiment itself exposed the speaker's insidious heart and motives.  So many times when folks think they're mocking someone (even if what they say is accurate), they're actually exposing their own hearts.

I believe Holy Spirit causes us to observe the pure and good things in others and then speak Daddy's encouragements to them.  I think that's awesomely cool.  God also enables us to recognize those He's marked for our hearts and hands in ministry; to observe them with His tender, clear, focused eyes so that what we say will pierce their hearts with the Truth of the blessing to the world He has made them.  It's then up to us to give utterance to what He's revealed, which benefits us all.

Encouragement is so important.  Breathed from the heart of God, it holds life.  Receiving God's encouragements, for some, can mean the difference between life and death in His supernatural timing, especially since DIScouragement is a cancer that works just the opposite in us in destruction and death.

Think of what happened to the Apostle Peter before He became "on fire" for God through the power and strength of Holy Spirit.  He got scared during the trial of Christ... he panicked and lied and said he didn't even know Jesus, three times.  We all know the story and, in very real ways with God and others, we've all been there, too.  There's not a single child of God who hasn't sinned against Him, and who doesn't know the feeling of genuine remorse and contrition before Him at some point. When Jesus' all-knowing (but still loving) eyes locked firmly to Peter's, convicting his heart, scripture says he went away and wept bitterly.  Again, we all know what that is and what it's like.

But then, do we all give God's ever-compassionate, Redemptive Hand opportunity to mend and heal us with encouragement only His Truth brings?  In Peter's case, the truth of God's forgiveness was all the tonic needed to encourage him to go forward in God renewed, refreshed, and strengthened; restored in the confidence to call himself God's child.  Saints, that's life-saving breath to me!  In one phrase of God's angel to the women at the tomb - tailored to his repentant heart - Peter's life began again...

"But he said to them, 'Do not be alarmed.  You seek Jesus of Nazareth who was crucified.  He is risen!  He is not here.  See the place where they laid Him.  But go, tell His disciples - and Peter - that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you'." (Mark 16:6)
Merciful God.  There would be no life without Christ (Who IS Truth) and His empowering encouragements.  Friends, all it takes is a little encouragement to cause someone to see the light of day.  And given the explosive rejuvenation edification carries, is there ever really such a thing as a little encouragement?  I think not.

Let's pray...

[Father, please let us always see and acknowledge the truth of Your character and giftings in Your children, that our mouths will give utterance in obedience by Holy Spirit to strengthen, uplift, and edify those downtrodden and needing courage to start again. Thank You, too, dear Father for the way You've "jump-started" us in faith so many times through the manifest encouragements of Your obedient vessels - God bless them all.  In Christ's Name we pray and thank You.  Amen.]

Smiling in Jesus,

God's Sword is a Good Thing

My thoughts have been on Luke 12:51-53 where Jesus gives some very sobering news to the disciples and all those listening. He came not to bring peace to the world but, rather, division. In many ways, that's been a major theme in my life.  Here’s the scripture:

51 “Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. 52 For from now on five in one house will be divided; three against two, and two against three. 53 Father will be divided against son, and son against father; mother against daughter and daughter against mother; mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”

Abba has asked me to remember that Christ is the Light of the World, and light always exposes. The light of Christ in family members saved by His grace will shine boldly upon all those in the household who are unsaved. Their fleshly deeds and attitudes and preferences will starkly contrast those of the spirit-filled Christians in their midst and, friends, that will bring war.

I understand the dynamic of the gospel creating division in families due to the conflicting choices of individuals in my own family. I’m certain many of you reading this right now
have experienced the heartbreak of a family member choosing not to follow Jesus. But, through it all, I believe the most important lesson God draws out of exposure is that of our showing His unconditional love to those who have rejected Him. The most powerful influence for turning to Jesus they can encounter comes through our treating them with persevering love and letting God live His life in front of them, through us.

Personally, if I had never seen God's goodness lived out before me day by day in the life of my mother, I'd never have thirsted for and sought out the living waters His mercy and forgiveness bring through our repentance and submission to His will.  It takes the savory aroma of the Bread of Life hitting the nostrils of unbelievers for them to begin to hunger for the satisfaction and fulfillment only Christ can bring to their lives.
Another encouraging assurance for Christians is that, no matter what, Christ knows His own. Christ CANNOT be deceived by the wiles of the devil. As His beloved, as long as we abide in Him and constantly seek His counsel in all things, we also will not be deceived by any enemy ploy or tactic.

The Best of
So if you’re a Christian living with non-Christians, don’t be surprised if war bursts forth in your house. It's really just Daddy in you, forwarding His merciful purpose and plan.

Faithfully, He'll cause you to remember that, in Christ, you are the light of the world, and all lights expose and dispel darkness.

God planned it that way.

Praising Him for His Wisdom Always,

A Poem for Jesus

I started thinking about how - as Christ rode into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday - He knew full well that five days later He'd be hanging on a cross, taking away the sins of the world.

He was determined to fulfill the will of the Father, the will of His Daddy, by reconciling mankind to Himself and getting everything of opportunity for eternal life in Him back on track.  For me, such thoughts inspire poetry.

This short and sweet poem is dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God.

"I THANK YOU"
I bless Your Holy Name, Lord God
I bless Your Holy Name.

I thank You for Your sacrifice
I thank You for the grave.

Yes, thank You for the grave, Lord God
from which You've rescued me.
I bow my life before You, King
and worship, gratefully.
Your nail-scarred hands are precious gems
so is Your bleeding side
Though faith in You the world condemns
I know You are the Prize,

The Pearl, the treasure chest of love
that frees me from all care
I know Your bleeding side is rich,
I see that it is where
Your Spirit leads the sinner to
when he's had quite enough
of burdens foul and bitter roots,
and seas - stormy and rough.
So, Lord, I'm pressed against Your side
and I accept Your plan

that breathes in me eternal life
and makes me a new "man"!

Let's Pray...

Father, in Jesus' Name, we thank You for life, health, and strength.

I thank You, Lord God, that we are here, now, in an age the prophets longed to see.  I thank You for the forceful resolve You've put in all the family of Christ to see Your will done upon the earth.

Personally, Lord, I thank You for Your hand of forgiveness which runs continually through my life.  It is a living stream which I value greatly, and I ask that You enable me to show forgiveness and mercy to others as You have shown me.

Lord I ask that You grant Your ability to endure to all of Your children with hearts resolved to serve You no matter what, no matter when.  God, please give us all the ability to stand through every circumstance and be transformed to Your likeness through it all.

God, we love You.

Father, in Christ's Name, we refuse to relinquish the JOY You've given us! We refuse to knowingly disobey You, and we turn our backs on the enticements of this world.  Please grant us ever-increasing courage to say no to the enemy's influences in riches, emptiness, and foolish things.  Please enable us to take Your hand of obedience, steadfast kindness, mercy, and humility according to Your definitions and plan.

In Jesus' Name, dear Father, we honor the Presence of Your Spirit within us daily, and we prostrate ourselves before Your Throne and Your Goodness always, looking forward to the laughter and JOY resounding in Your Kingdom which is our eternal Home.

I cover the Body of Christ in the precious Blood of Jesus, and I forbid the enemy or his minions any access to any of us whatsoever.  Let the Peace of God and the Glory we have in Him alone be our comfort and our fortress, forevermore.

In Jesus' Awesome Name,
Amen.

Thinking of You Always - Love, God

You know, most of mankind is still "long-lost" to the heart of God.  When you think of it, we were all created to be His sweethearts... to enjoy the intimacy of fellowship with Him in the most personal and beneficial ways, and we blew it.  In the Garden of Eden, mankind stepped away from God's supernatural beneficence, and it took the shed blood of Jesus to make the way clear for us to re-enter Daddy's merciful embrace.  But not all have chosen that path.  Not all have accepted the wonderful package Abba wrapped in the crimson bow of Christ's blood and placed on the very doorstep of our hearts.  In fact, most haven't, and the remaining long-lost are the ones Jesus thinks of most.

Lately, my heart repeatedly visits God's transparent sentiments in Jeremiah 29:11.  Apart from it reflecting Daddy's true heart for all of His kids, it pointedly censures any false notion that He's up in His heaven waiting to shoot the world down, or longing to blast the majority of mankind yet unsaved.  Indeed, that popular fleshly conjecture couldn't be more wrong, and someone's heart and countenance needs to hear the truth today of how God really feels about them... about all of us.  Here's that precious scripture verse:

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

That’s good stuff, Saints. God is desiring our hearts to know and be assured that He is always thinking GOOD thoughts concerning us. God is never the bad guy. His heart is so full of love for us at all times, it is almost bursting. Even when He corrects us or rebukes us, it is with a heart of love and positive expectancy for our repentance and realignment with His will for our successful future in Him. There is no failure in God, and He is not turned against us, His children – HE IS FOR US - and He thinks fondly of us, continually.

The Best of
That’s a lesson I’ve had to learn over and over again as the years go by with me projecting the attitudes and poor character of humanity onto Abba.  Through it all, God has been patient with me and watchful of me as I have learned. He never gets tired of reminding me; He knows I need it so.  When I get things right in a situation, He encourages me as if I were royalty... until I realize that I am!  Then He smiles, and presses me softly to His side.  Oh, Saints, He is an amazing God.  So loving, so patient, and so kind.

He is forever kindly intentioned towards the true frailties of humanity; He understands our frame, just as scripture says, and He never deviates from His true self - He cannot - but abides in truth forever.  He abides by His will concerning my heart’s transformation in Him, and He is patient with my misunderstandings and my misreads of His heart towards me.

God is ever faithful, and His focus lies totally and completely on you, and on me, and on all of His children – individually and collectively – simultaneously! Is that wonderful or what?

Who wouldn’t serve a God like Him? His thoughts and His heart and the comfort of His breast are always available and accessible to His kids.  Always.   He never takes a day off of loving us, supporting us, blessing us, focusing and refocusing us, singing and laughing over us in JOY, and calling us His beloved own.

Can we say the same about our hearts for Him?

Thank You, merciful God, for always holding out Your hand to the lost in hopes of reconciliation, for the loving thoughts You think of us consistently, and for mapping out our future under Your wings in hope and love. In Jesus’ Name, we love You.

Amen.

Love's conviction births Godly resolutions

Recently, I came across this verse and it got me thinking...

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” (John 13:34)

Actually, it convicted me.  God has been dealing with me a lot about offenses and unconditional love. I don’t know how everyone feels about this, but I am determined (long-since) never to be the enemy’s fool in any given situation.   That’s not to say that I will never be “overcome at a fault” as scripture categorizes it – our sinful humanity is simply a reality.

However, it IS to say that, once God has clearly communicated to me my error in a thing, I have pledged to bow my knees in submission to His Spirit’s Authority over – and Ownership of – my soul.  The scripture from John is a perfect case-in-point. Loving one another as Christ has loved us is a deeply cleansing undertaking that starts with deliverance of “self” issues.   It starts with our realization that…
  • In Christ’s Love, there is NO offense.
  • In Christ’s Love, there is Humility.
  • In Christ’s Love, there is Forgiveness of others.
  • In Christ’s Love, there is personal Repentance.
Friends, I have resolved to obey God and ignore offenses. That is what He told me to do. Regarding offense He said, “Ignore it, as though it never happened. Leave offenses to Me.” Hence forth, that is what I have resolved to do.

I have resolved to humble myself continually before God that the areas of lies and sin He wishes to expose in me will be exposed for deliverance and healing.

I have resolved to receive Christ’s heart of forgiveness towards those who have wronged or wounded me.

I have resolved to repent of personal sins in every area, receiving God’s humility in contrition regarding everyone I have wronged or wounded.

That makes the way clear for me to follow God’s greatest commandment. It also augments my JOY and celebration in knowing that, through Christ’s Love, I will never again be the enemy’s fool.

Saying "Amen" to all God's directives,
Daddy's Girl

I Dare You to Pray...

My mother and I were best friends.  God allowed me to witness her strong testimony of faith and persevering love for 27 years before she died in 1992.  Mom taught me everything about Godly wisdom and faith, and it was her example of tenacity and strength in Him that got me saved.

I watched her remain steadfast before God in the face of horrible, heartbreaking circumstances of unbelief as three of her four children and her husband (my earthly father) rejected Jesus.  She was used prophetically by God and deeply relished intimacy with Him.  She was my parent, teacher, and pastor.

Three years after her passing, I found myself living alone in our family home, with a long winter rapidly approaching.  My nephew Reuben had lived with me from the time of Ma's death until Nov. 1, 1995 when he joined the US Marine Corps.  The family home was a huge, 130-year-old Colonial in only marginal condition.  We'd already survived two harsh winters, with furnace and oil tank problems spawning a true dread within me as autumn's cool, colorful breezes succumbed to winter's frosty grip.

The Best of
Times were hard, but my perceptions back then were greatly skewed by grief.  The previous three years were a blur to my emotions and seemed instead like three ticks of the clock.  Reuben was a grown man and followed the course God allowed by joining the military; I know that now but, back then, all I saw was that he was "leaving me".  A spirit of abandonment had my perceptions by the throat.  I was flustered, hurting, grieving - and now my nephew wouldn't be around to help me.

But I still had faith in God.

Life-changing Word

One night while reading the Bible, God caused this passage to literally jump out at me:
"The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.  Elijah was a man of like passions as we are, and he earnestly prayed that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months."  (James 5:16b-17)
Suddenly, my heart filled with desperate faith.  I knew this was God's lifeline thrown out to me.

Winters in upstate New York weren't pretty, with several feet of snow falling consistently throughout the season translating into back-breaking shoveling and untold furnace repair and oil bills, the cost of which I'd bear alone.  Emotionally, I couldn't take it.  It was too soon or too much or something; I just knew I couldn't cope.  So I stretched out on that scripture verse with everything in me; I dropped to my knees on the spot - in tears, and in prayer.

Merciful God, please help me... was all it seemed I could say.  But through my tears Holy Spirit helped me to just repeat the scripture passage - again and again - and I declared my stance in faith.  I stood on that scripture, friends, and proclaimed my trust in God, relating to His truth about Elijah being a regular human just like me, but earnestly praying for an answer from God and receiving what he declared.  Hope burst from my heart like kindled flame...

In Jesus' Name, I can't have it snow this winter, God.  By faith in this word You've given me, I declare that it shall not snow heavily on this land all winter!  Amen.

By God's power I closed my Bible, dried my tears, and went my way in faith.  I fastened that passage to my heart each day, as the season settled around me.

Victory!

I bear witness to all who read this in the Name of the Lord Jesus the Christ - it did NOT snow heavily even once in my area of New York all winter long!  I remember a dusting of snow one evening during the season, which melted under the sun's rays the following morning... and that was the sum total of winter precip recorded in our area!

Hallelujah!

Saints, that heavily impacted my faith.  It said so much to me in the way of God not only hearing me, but caring about my condition.  It let my emotions know that God was still there, and it did my heart the joyous good needed to carry on in the face of "unknowns".  God had mercy on me, strengthened me, and empowered me all in the same season.  With death all around me, He brought new life!  He sent His word and gave me hope... a literal lifeline in the midst of a storm; and I survived.  I was strengthened and had JOY, which added fervor to my pledge to stand in Him no matter what.  Friends, He is the Source of all Life and Faith.  He was my Rock and my Fortress then, as He is and continues to be.

Bless His Mighty Name!

Set your heart to stand upon Daddy's word in every way you can, beloved.  If you truly mean business, He will never let you down.  Remember that heartfelt prayer moves the Hand that moves the world.  Indeed - the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous is able to conquer altogether, through the merciful hand of God!

Blessing and Thanking Him Always,
Daddy's Girl

A Grateful Heart

I believe simple, humble, consistent gratitude to God is a vastly important thing.
The phases and colors of my life in Christ supporting this truth have been amazing.

Like many others, I've looked back on various areas of love and growth and correction over the years and been astonished that I am still alive.  I've been amazed at God's goodness, and overwhelmed by gratitude whenever I realize how patient and loving and caring He's been with me.  I am grateful.

Assessing God's goodness in my life is an energizing undertaking of JOY and gladness but, especially, thanksgiving.

"O, give thanks unto the Lord, for His is good!  For His mercy endures forever." (Psalm 136:1)
That is a simple, pure, and rich verse from the Psalms' melodies which, in truth, is also loaded with critical keys for dynamic, successful living in relationship with Daddy. Gratitude in itself is born of humility - give thanks unto the Lord - and a humble heart then declares the truth about God - for He is good - we know that He alone is good. Then the best part for souls like me is that, out of the goodness of God's heart proceeds the mercy that purchased my salvation... the covenant between Daddy and me (and all His kids) which, through faith in Christ Jesus, is everlasting: His mercy endures forever.

Saints, nothing about God is trite or meaningless.  The weight and secure impact of love and righteousness, wholeness and newness and purity hallmarks all things born of Him.  And again, I am grateful.

Gratitude is a powerful, necessary, precious thing to the Godhead.  I remember reading what Jesus said when He cleansed the ten lepers and only one rushed back with tearful thanks (in Luke 17:17): "Were there not ten cleansed?  But where are the nine?"  As a child, I believe my heart was more sensitive at that time to the obvious sadness and bewilderment expressed by the Lord that, for such an extraordinarily kind, literally life-saving, and just plain miraculous work of healing He wasn't summarily tackled by all of the souls cleansed that day.  As I've grown older, though, I also look back on that occurrence with conviction in my heart and repentance for any time I may have taken for granted God's goodness and miraculous impartations to my life.

Friends, I always want to be grateful, and I never want to take the love of Daddy, Lord Jesus, and Holy Spirit lightly.  The Three Who thought up "me" are all-important to my life.  They thought up everything and, frankly, deserve my utmost thanks.  [They also deserve my utmost thanks for putting up with me, but that's another blog post!  ;0) ]

Through many powerful and ongoing deliverances, the intimacy I now enjoy constantly with Abba, Jesus, and Holy Spirit is good and pure and gracious.  I have grown to greatly admire and enjoy the submitted hearts of the true family of God worldwide, as well as those surrounding me in the fellowship of believers I've known and loved for years.  The Lord has shown me many more things for which I am grateful.  Had I space to write them, all of Heaven would be filled.

How about you?

Beloved, look back on the phases and seasons of your life you have survived abundantly by God's power, and allow Him to birth even greater gratitude within you.  Your praise will illuminate your countenance daily, and God Himself will be gladened and enriched by your thanks.

"Nevertheless, the Lord will wait so He can be gracious to you; and thus He will rise up to show you mercy.  For the Lord is a God of justice.  How blessed are those who wait for Him." (Isaiah 30:18)
Daily celebrating the heart of praise and blessing He's given me...

Here's to Holy Spirit

I deeply love and appreciate Holy Spirit.

Ever wonder why I call Him "Holy Spirit" and not, the Holy Spirit?  It's because of a conversation He had with Rev. Carl Hahn of Ohio, a beautiful man of God who sees and converses with angels regularly and documents all of his encounters.  Once during their conversation, Holy Spirit simply said He likes to be called by His Name, which is simply (and marvelously) "Holy Spirit".  That's all.  That's everything.  He told Pastor Hahn that, just as you or I would not be called "the Susan", or "the Robert" (or that silly way Donald Trump prefers to be called the Donald), the Breath of God prefers to be first-named by His friends.  He said [paraphrasing], 'call Me Holy Spirit, for that is My Name and you are My friends if you love Jesus.'

I think that's awesome.

Now, is He going to push an "eject" button and immediately send you to Hell if you continue referring to Him as "The Holy Spirit"?  Of course not.  God understands all that we formulate in our hearts in terms of always wanting to 'respect' Him.  But the Godhead would like us to try to understand that Their hearts toward us are family oriented.  God doesn't want to inspect us, He wants to embrace us.  Remember, Abba's not looking to see that our clothes are clean, He wants to see that our hearts are clean.  He's not a Drill Instructor, He's a DADDY... and He wants to be regarded by His kids with familiarity (again, that root word "family") more than formality.  Simply calling God's paracletus "Holy Spirit" is no more disrespectful than calling Jehovah God, "Daddy".  They cherish and value both references from the hearts of Their children.

Holy Spirit is responsible for drawing me to Jesus, then appropriating Christ's blood sacrifice to my life, sealing my salvation.  He is responsible for my walk in Jesus and for my encounters in vision - every single one of them.

It was Holy Spirit Who first asked me to "taste and see" of Abba's goodness; to "just give Him a chance" to prove Himself to me in truth and holiness.

Holy Spirit is the One Who knows exactly what to say to me to calm me down or stir me up, according to Abba's edicts, directives, and desires over my life.  Holy Spirit is my eternal "Go-To" Guy.

The Best of
He doesn't think twice about humbling Himself to lift me up.  Recently, in a matter of deliverance Abba wanted to accomplish in my life, Holy Spirit literally begged me to comply.  I was so afraid to be exposed in the areas God was targeting, I seriously considered not going through with it - not allowing the Godhead to deliver me of the uglies in that particular place - and Holy Spirit's face appeared to my spirit-man so powerfully, in humble entreaty piercing my soul, I nearly died on the spot from the fierceness of His Love poured out upon me.  He showed me the Mercy Seat of God and reminded me of the goal of the course of my life and why I exist...

Only our deepest, dearest Friend would do that.

Holy Spirit keeps me on track and on course. He reminds me of the words to Abba's song in my heart and fills my lungs with life's breath to sing aloud to Daddy each day.  Holy Spirit will be everything we need Him to be to keep us alive and well and living for God.  He is our Helper, and so Divinely much more than that.  Here's an excerpt from a word Daddy gave to Apostle Nancy E. Snyder explaining, in part, just Who Holy Spirit is to us daily.  Saints, I know it will bless you, as it has me:

"He is your Holy Habitation and generates 'My good pleasure' in your life.  He is the One Who sticks closer than a brother and is grieved when My edicts and laws are transgressed.  He speaks My directives to your heart and spirit and holds you in a place of reception and safety.  He moves as a mighty wind in and through your life, challenging anything that would attempt to erode your faith or touch your destiny in My formed plan.  He is the Holy Water that cleanses your soul, body, and spirit.  He is the power that ignites My torch and the eternal flame which burns forever within you.  He is your rudder, anchor, and 'safe transport' across calm or tumultuous waters.  He transmits My will, power, and blessings to your life and 'hosts you in to change' at My directive.  He is gentle, loving, kind, compassionate, powerful, obedient, all-knowing, full-to-overflowing, never empty."

HallelujahWhen's the last time you said, "Thank You, Holy Spirit..." for anything? Well, I believe we should say it for everything, because to love one of Them is to love Them ALLAs He diligently keeps us in mind of God and Christ, declare your loving thanks to our everlasting Friend Holy Spirit whenever you can.  We would be lost without Him.

He's already received a plethora of hugs and kisses from me, and my heart's wellsprings of thanksgiving will flow to Him, eternally.  Thank You so much, Holy  Spirit!

Very Gratefully,
Daddy's Girl

No Matter What, God Gets ALL the Praise

People are praising God in every positive thing they do and think and say, whether they realize it or not.

I remember seeing a scene in the film Julie & Julia where one of the title characters declares she loves the truth that, in this crazy, unpredictable world she finds it so wonderful and reliably comforting that one can always combine eggs and milk and sugar and cocoa and get a delectable confectionery mixture of creamy chocolate no matter what.  When she says what great solace she finds in that, I think to myself - that's God.  She's praising God and she doesn't even know it.  For it is GOD Who not only made all of the ingredients, but Who also created the reactive science within those ingredients to respond to and embrace one another in such satisfying culinary camaraderie.  True?  Yes, true.  She was praising God.

Unbelievers who are marvelously gifted photographers absolutely enthralled with and by the staggering beauty of nature's sunrises and sunsets... are praising God.  Aren't they?

Marine biologists who gasp at watching swaths of seawater close like curtains behind a blue whale's tail are praising God for the glory of His marvelous creation... for "God created great whales" also.  We know it don't we, brethren?  YES, we do!

Mathematicians are glorifying God with every swirl of linear equations dancing in their heads.  The brainiac premises of true intelligence and loving friendship between a downtrodden genius and his psychiatrist in "Good Will Hunting" gave undeniable praise to the Powerful Holy One Who made the eye and the brain and hearts and feelings; Who fashioned cognitive thinking by taking thought within Himself, and birthed true emotions from the beat of His own noble and tender heart.  He is the true author of mathematics and binary technology and vision... but do those "Poindexters" even know it?

Chefs and painters, sculptors and anthropologists, astronomers and botanists and ophthalmologists... all are praising God.  Lawn doctors and Olympic athletes, mountain climbers and sightseers... those in love with bioinformatics and pathology, neurology, radiology, chemistry and entomology... ALL - by their very attitudes and appetites for all of these things - are praising our great and mighty God.

For thus says the Lord:
"Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, or loose the belt of Orion?  Can you bring out constellations in their season?  Or can you guide the Great Bear with its cubs?  Do you know the ordinances of the heavens?  Can you set their dominion over the earth?"
"Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, that an abundance of water may cover you?  Can you send out lightnings, that they may go, and say to you, 'Here we are!' ?  Who has put wisdom in the mind?  Or who has given understanding to the heart?  Who can number the clouds by wisdom? Or who can pour out the bottles of heaven, when the dust hardens in clumps, and the clods cling together?"
O, HOW I LOVE THAT PASSAGE FROM THE 38TH CHAPTER OF JOB!  Hallelujah! That's our God, beloved! That's our God... the Almighty, All-Seeing, All-Knowing, and Ever-Wise God our Heavenly Father knows and does it all for the good of mankind, and lovingly causes His rain to fall on and relieve the just and the unjust.  Who among all the fallible, puny, laughable, so-called 'gods' of mankind's folly can hold even the spark of a match to our MAGNIFICENT MAJESTIC KING OF ALL UNIVERSES?  Who?

No one, that's who.

And every time any good or perfect thing comes out of the mouths of anyone in the realms of human or spiritual existence...  they are praising our Great and Mighty Everlasting, All-Merciful and Super-Splendid God. It happens every day and will continue forevermore. Jehovah is His Name, and Yeshua is His Son.  The very Breath of Yahweh (Holy Spirit) indwells us, and The Three in One will receive the mega praise due Them from every living thing in existence, whether they know so or not.  For it is written:
"As I live, says the Lord, every knee to shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God."  (Romans 14:11)
I just love that.

Four Months for Daddy's Girl

This is the blog that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it!

Today marks four months of living, loving, and laughing in testimony through Daddy's Girl. I praise God for it.  I'm glad it fell on a Sunday.

This blog has been very fruitful in a very short time.  It has spawned two other blogs which the Lord has also blessed but, to me, Daddy's Girl is the grande dame... the reason I took up blogging in the first place.  It was birthed just like it says in the tagline - to extol the tender heart of God.  Amen.

I remember very vividly Holy Spirit blowing gently past me, like the Breath that He is, giving me the name for this work when I asked Abba what it should be called.  He said, simply, "Call it Daddy's Girl".  I love stuff like that.

Four months of writing Daddy's Girl has passed like four minutes, and yet I've lived every minute of every day of it.  Abba never "runs dry" for ideas - or runs dry, period.  In my opinion, that's the secret of successful, God-ordained blogging... let Christ do it!  The Lord is an endless fountain of fruitful ideas, frames of mind, and circumstances bringing joy and abundance to His children in ways of living and serving Him that we've never dreamed existed.  God simply doesn't run out, my friends.

God had my Pastor advise me to always pray to Him for His wisdom before writing each post.  Just as I sit down to write, ask Him to completely guide me with His knowledge and strength in what I should say and not  say.  Daddy always always fills my mouth.  Never once has He let me down (in anything, not just blogging).  God is 100% reliable, and this blog touches lives by His definition, every day.

I pray before writing, often cry during writing, and pray and dedicate the work to Him just before actually posting.  That way it can't miss, folks... it's totally in His hands.  What Daddy does for one, He does for all; I've seen and read many blogs since I've been here that have touched me, brought me to tears, and changed my heart forever.  It's good to be in such company of friends and co-workers in Christ, set apart to accomplish His work on earth.

Here's to more work through God's hands in Daddy's Girl, sanctifying ground in the hearts and lives of believers everywhere.  Here's sincere thanks to those of you who heed God's words and tender heart through this medium and grant encouragement, prayers, and strength to it in His Name.  God bless you and keep you as we "work while it is day".

By God's power, here's to the bright future of Daddy's Girl: The blog the Lord has made!

In Jesus' Name,

Great News! Daddy Has Hair on His Arms

Once Daddy showed me that He has hair on His arms.

I'm not saying that to be cheeky or disrespectful in any way, because it meant quite a lot to me.  He knew it would.  He showed me once in a vision that He has hair on His arms because He knew the effect it had on me would be one of personal, pleasurable, intimacy in terms of my being "safe" to interact with Him on vulnerable levels.  Levels of secrecy, privacy, and "personality" mean a lot to God... and they mean a lot to me.  He knew that.  In that vision God was saying to my emotions - it's okay to "touch" me, to approach me with your circumstances, to be visible to Me in places you hide with others.  It's safe to let Me touch you.  That's what registered with my emotions in that vision, and He knew it.  That vision said to me that I could touch Him and worship Him like God, but also as my true Father (with whom I've always longed to be mushy and real).  God knows that, to my heart, a true father is one who will hear the stupidest things I have to say to him and not think they're stupid at all.  God is The God Who Understands, folks, and that truth of Him means life's breath to me - I'm serious.

The truth that my Heavenly Father NEVER gets tired of me only wanting to love on Him and hug Him and squeeze Him and cry on His breast every time we're together is the best news I could ever get.  I asked Him once, directly, if He ever got tired of the truth that all I want to do is squeeze Him, and draw on Him, and nurse at His breast in holiness and comfort in wisdom and learning about Him and all that there has to do with Him for as much as I'm able to hold, as long as I'm able to hold.  Here's what He said to me -

The Best of

Completely fine with Me, beloved.  That's all I've ever wanted from any of My Children - that they get to KNOW Me in the beauty of holiness - that's in the beauty there is in being "set apart" from the things of this world - in righteousness pursuing Me with every part of their heart, rmind, will, and emotions.  I want to love on you and be loved on by you - always.  I Am your Hiding Place.

Saints, I've never been so in love in my life.  I wanted to melt in His arms forever after that.  And that's what I do to this day to find Peace, Solace, and Safety, Comfort, Serenity, and JOY JOY JOY!  Abba I can tell anything... Abba I can cry on all day!  I can rush into His Arms and let Him drown me in His fragrances and melodies and sweet, tender caresses and have ALL THE REST OF THE WORLD GO AWAY!  His Arms are always opened to me - never closed, never closed... ever.

You cannot have or find that with anyone else in existence, I don't care how much other things tug on you to delude you with lies and enticements... TRUE peace and fulfillment is ONLY FOUND with Daddy... The One Who MADE you!  The One Who KNOWS everything about you!  The One Whose gentle, loving, hands sewed carefully the threads of your very being together with cheerfulness, rejoicing, singing, and loving plans for you.  The One Who is excited whenever you go to bed that you might DREAM of Him, and Who sits on the edge of His Throne waiting for you to wake that you might FELLOWSHIP with Him, fulfilling the purpose and means for which you were born!

Dear ones, THE LORD OUR GOD HAS HAIR ON HIS ARMS!  And that hair is there to demonstrate His awesome love and desire to concentrate on YOU personally, with His whole heart, in all the "secret" places, for your entire LIFE... and since you're eternal, that's always!
"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty..." (Psalm 91:1)
Totally Loving Him,
Daddy's Girl

What are we going to do about Christ?

I worked a few years in the corporate world of White Plains, NY, and there I witnessed multiple lives involved in the hustle and bustle of making money, making "something of themselves", and making a so-called life for their families.  A lot of those efforts involved working ridiculously long hours for unpleasant clients, enslaving their secretaries (er, excuse me - "administrative assistants") to similar drudgery, and subsequently denying their own families precious, irretrievable time with them.

So on my way back from a quick lunch one afternoon, I asked the Lord why all those people subjected themselves to such rigors and what could make such entanglements seem attractive?  Here's what God said to me:
"To them, this is the highest that they can go.  To their thinking, they have arrived to the way of utmost prosperity and grace.  Being here IS their 'promised land', and they think there is no more to the circumstance or additives of life."
My mind went off in a million directions, but its surmising was delayed by the continuation of Abba's words...
"That is why I am trying so hard to convince those who hear My voice to speak to those who are lost - through Godly living, through prayer and supplication, through showing unconditional love to their circumstance in unbelief, and by coming to My Throne on their behalf.  What if it were you who was dying, beloved?  Wouldn't you want someone to continually plead your cause on My behalf?  On behalf of what My Son did at Calvary for you?  That is why I ask you to continue praying for them, showing them that a life does not consist in the drudgery against laziness and the perceived opinions of men.  Rather, Life in its complete console of holiness and pleasures and righteousness and good, clean living - is in Me.  It is only found in Me."
Well, any "publican and sinner" thoughts I might have had in response to what God began to say got completely crushed after this.  After He finished His entreaty to my soul to pray for the lost and dying of this world - and not solely judge them for their frenetic pace in living - I was humbled and repentant.  But I was also enlightened and blessed.

So I took the Lord's wisdom, and I prayed for everybody in it.  I prayed for the rushing, frantic, opinion-bound, business people I worked with and for... and I prayed for my own walk in boldness before Him; in unconditional love and gratitude to Jesus for saving my soul in the first place.

The zealousness within me grew, and I'm glad it did because, even lately, I sometimes wonder - what are the corporate executives, superstars, and "rich" people of this world going to do when they have to stand naked before the God of all eternity?  Before the God of every universe Who they never took the time to know?  When they can't pay off anyone or use their so-called "clout" or influence to make things go their way and they stand, bereft in understanding of anything Godly or set apart by God in any fashion... Besides lose control of every bodily function, my friends... what on earth, or anywhere, are they going to do?

That day is coming.

So here's a big part of my prayer regarding the gospel, for myself and all Daddy's kids:
"... and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel... that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak." (Eph. 6:19-20)
To me, the very least I can do is resolve to SHOUT HIS NAME and saving power from the rooftops - with my mouth and through my writing - under His direction, no matter what it costs me.  My reasonable service in Him is to submit to His will in all things, so that others might be saved, as I was, by His Mercy and Grace.

Will you join me?

Praying God's Wisdom, Understanding, and Boldness on us all...
Daddy's Girl
