Flowers and Fire of Refinement

The color orange is symbolic of refining.  I believe we children of God all look like this flower to Him.  This is a tiger lily, and it is beautiful.  The flower is strikingly orange, indicative of the "fire of refinement" Daddy has assigned to that color in symbolizing the testing and sandpapering of character He seeks to accomplish in every believer.

I have been undergoing refinement all of my life.  So has every child of God willing to submit to His will for our transformation into the image of Christ.  As we know, the fire of God only gets hotter as it makes contact with the dross in us.  Dross burns quickly, dross burns fervently, and dross is worthless.  God's refinement of us burns long, burns hot, and is priceless.

The flesh wants nothing to do with it, but the flesh is going to one place - the grave!  That's not an act I want to follow... it's not worthy of my listening ear.

Refining fire, much like this lily, is rooted in life.  The green of its stem and leaves is indicative of the Father's life, health, and healing.  Flowers are awesome manifestations of the Lord's hand in our lives.  Had you ever noticed that God is symbolic in all things?  He is a highly symbolic Person; He loves to show Himself and His mercy and His love in everything He does and creates.  Picture after picture, sign after sign, and symbol after symbol are our God's M.O.  in foreshadowing, analogies, parables, and metaphors... I think that's cool.

Refining is no fun when you're in the midst of it but, oh, how we shine once we have come out of it!  Hallelujah!!  So I want to continue being "orange" for as long as it takes; are you willing?  Are you willing to have the heat turned up in your life and be a living, breathing, walking symbol of His active transformation?  I am!

Come join me...

Not So Cold About Winter

(Public Domain Photo)

At times I grouse a lot about winter, but I've been meaning to stop (or at least greatly curtail) that.  Winter is a part of God's plan for the earth, an awesome cycle of events in weather changes throughout the globe that He promised Noah would not cease as long as the present earth remains.  In truth, His covenant with mankind and the earth from Genesis 8:22 is one of my favorite verses in all scripture,

"While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease." (Genesis 8: 22)

For me, there's just something about the promises of God as He speaks them out to mankind and all of His creation; maybe because He IS Truth, and His word is everlasting.  I take heart in knowing that the same voice and authority which declared winter will not cease in the current earth also declares the continuance of spring, and of summer, as long as the earth remains.  Summer has its end, but so does winter.  Every year God's mercy breaks the grip of cold and ice after lovingly destroying myriad harmful germs and viruses with bitter cold.  His goodness is found in every season of the year, and His mercy endures forever.

All it takes is a single prayer... an effectual, fervent prayer to move the Hand that moves the universe, be it summer or spring, on our behalf.  Several months ago on Daddy's Girl, I gave this testimony to the Lord's power to hear and answer prayer regarding the onset of winter during a time in my life when its deep snow may have broken me spiritually, emotionally, and financially.  His loving response and concern, miraculously manifested in a critical season, marked my heart in confidence towards Him and immeasurably strengthened my faith and courage.

God is good.

So, I no longer complain nearly as much about winter.  God's overwhelming desires for me to appreciate the hardships and endure them "as a good soldier" are making clear headway in my otherwise fairly pampered life.  I cover my testimony to His goodness with Jesus' blood, and I praise Him that I have never had to spend even one night outside in the bitter cold I grumble about, though many souls have.  I am blessed and repentant of all complaint.

What about you?

If you cringe at the onset of different seasons in your life or in the weather, you're not alone.  But just take some time - as I did -  to look around at the current circumstance and weigh it against the power of the promises of the Lord.  God's word always wins.  He and His faithfulness are everlasting, and His love for you extends to all generations.

Amen.

A Path or "The Way"?

(Public Domain Photo)

Which path are you on?  Is a "path" really even what we want?

I heard once that, where God is concerned, there is no "path" per se to Him because a path is something mankind makes and fashions to their own liking.  Scripture seems to corroborate that thought in revealing Jesus Christ as, not the path, but the "Way":

"I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.  No one comes to the Father but through Me." (John 14:6)

I heartily agree.

So, on this often complex road of life, which "way" are you going?  Are you following your way, or THE Way?  That's a pretty interesting question, especially when trials confront us, but it's critically important to our life's progress and to the essential and ultimate understanding of exactly who we are.

Without the Godhead, we don't know who we are or where we're going or even why we're here.  Jesus stands at the door to the heart and knocks, says Rev. 3:20, and He's also presiding over God's eternal plan of success for the road of our lives, desiring to lead us in the "Way" we should go.  But Jesus is not going to drag us down the road, bust the door to our hearts down, or force His "way" on us.  His glorious wisdom and directives enriching our lives - or not - is entirely up to us.

As for me, I want to continue learning about who I really am and where I'm truly headed; only God can tell me that.  I want to continue learning about why I'm here and what my purpose and meaning truly is; again, only GOD can tell me that because He created me.  Only the Potter knows the composition, purpose, and eternal station of the clay.

Therefore...
"... as for me and my house, we shall serve the LORD." (Joshua 24:15b)

I pray that is also your ultimate decision, friends.  Believe me, Daddy can fully and miraculously deliver the answers to every question you've ever had about who you really are, what you really like, and the true purpose and meaning assigned to your time on the earth.  Let's face it, of all the questions in any of our heart of hearts, those are the truest and most profound.  Beloved, only God has your answers.

I pray the Lord's eternal blessings upon you in strength and wisdom of choice, in Jesus' Mighty Name.  Amen.

In All Ways, OBEY

What do I say to the God Who has kept me all these years, except THANKS?

I used to ask God if there was anything I could do for Him... hey, I was very young...
I'd tell Him how much I loved Him, and then I'd ask Him what I could do to prove my love.  Of course, I'll bet all of you know the answer He gave... I still hear it massaging my ears:

"If you love Me, you'll obey Me."

That's what Daddy says to all of us, isn't it?  THAT'S how we show the Lord we love Him.  After all, in scripture He lamented - "why do you call Me 'Lord' and do not the things that I say?"  A justified question, indeed.

Obedience proves it all to Him.  And so I said - a long time ago - that, to the best of my strength and ability (which only comes from Him), I would obey Him all the days of my life.  His mercy, forgiveness, and power have allowed me to do just that; it's been a matter of saying "yes" to Him, and "no" to the enemy, consistently.

Have I failed and slipped up at times?  You'd better believe it.  But what has been (and always will be) the bottom line of character for me?  OBEDIENCE.  Indeed, Saints, it is far better than any sacrifice or forfeiture of reward and blessing.  100%.

Do you love the Lord with all of your heart, mind, soul, strength, will, and emotions?  If so, the way to prove your love to Him again and again and settle Him into confidence regarding it is to OBEY Him.  In all things He must be obeyed.

Believe me, beloved, it melts His heart into puddling honey when we obey Him... especially in the face of that which He knows is difficult for us.  It brings tears to His eyes, and there is nothing He will not do to support us in righteousness, to lift us in encouragements manifested every day at our behest, and to fill our hearts to overflowing with His Peace in every circumstance and JOY through all our trials - especially in the midnight hours.

There is no reward greater than God.  No shining light to our coffers could possibly beam more brightly than He... for God IS Light!

Want to show God you love Him?  Want to prove it with all your might?  Then obey Him in every circumstance.  Trust God, and obey.

A Global Outreach

(Map Copyright © 2013, by Sharon J. Gramling)
It's kind of fuzzy, friends, but every place on this homemade map that is red or pink is where God's truths in the Daddy's Girl blog have landed!  Daddy's Girl has gone global!
I realize that there are thousands of good Christian blogs impacting the globe at any given moment but, for me, the truth that Daddy's Girl is among them in less than one year is an outright miracle!  I am so thankful - to God and to all of you for your patience and persevering love and loyalty to God's heart through this blog.

THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart for your cheerful encouragements and numerous visits.  May the Lord truly bless all those reading and listening and praying for Daddy's Girl and all the bloggers of Christ's truths, world wide.  We're having great fun and, believe me, we've only just begun extolling the tender heart of Almighty God!

My heartfelt gratitude again, in Christ's Name...

On Individuality

There’s nothing wrong with individuality, although many fear it.

Individualists have been labeled non-compliant and difficult, and often some people are; but, IMO, that has nothing to do with their affinity toward individuality.

The cookie-cutter mentality is linked to tradition which, in many cases, is the sworn enemy of individuality.  It also accounts for most of the world’s stress and inordinate expectations.  It’s got the mainstream church in a vice grip.
God is doing a “new thing”, right?  That truth in itself shouts individuality.  Looking behind us to the way things used to be never fits the picture of the freshness of God.  His plans and purposes explore new heights and depths completely unknown and, therefore, unfamiliar to the former (and more comfortable) experiences of mankind.  I love that.

The Best of
Now, of course, there’s an element of apprehension the flesh naturally associates with every unknown, but that’s where TRUST in God is meant to come into full play.  That’s the frame of mind and confidence He reaches to achieve in all His work within us.  Daddy wants to bring us all to the point where, when faced with the unknown, we look back only at the memorial stones He’s built in us through experiences of safe deliverance; and then we look forward in confidence to what He can supply and has always supplied in faithful  accomplishment of His plans.
God never fails.
So be different today, Saints.  Dare to be different.  Venture forth in trust and the knowledge of God as our eternal safe place, no matter how daunting “new things” may seem.  After all, just because a path is well beaten doesn’t mean it is the right one.
Sometimes we are called to be pioneers and icebreakers.  Someone must be willing to go where no one has gone before, and that’s no fantasy!  God calls all who are willing to be those pioneers for Him and, ultimately, individuality is a powerful blessing because, underneath, are His everlasting arms.  He never hesitates to embrace us warmly, fragrantly, and with all-consuming, securing love.
Will you dare to be different according to Daddy’s plan?  Embrace the individuality of being “set apart” (holy) for God and bless His Holy Name.  Deliverance, reward, and blessing await you.

Chocolate and Peanut Butter

Over the years, I've learned there is a nice way to say almost anything.  I've applied that truth by Holy Spirit's power with great success.

Conversely, I've also learned that - for some things - only straightforward, blunt speech will do.  It largely depends on the circumstance and whom I'm addressing.

Jesus knew this, too.  When the scribes and Pharisees attributed God's powers of healing and restoration to the enemy, in the presence of the multitudes, Jesus used a marvelously kind analogy to caution against committing the life-threatening infraction of blaspheming against Holy Spirit.  He said,
"Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: and if satan cast out satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathers not with me scatters abroad.  Wherefore I say unto you, all manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come." (Matt. 12: 25-26, 30-32)
But when it came to singly addressing the hypocritical scribes and Pharisees - the so-called leaders of the church - Christ's gloves totally came off.
"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, you make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves!" (Matt. 23:15)
I like that.  There are definite ways of conveying truth, and Jesus knew all of them well.  He effectively used chocolate and peanut butter to navigate humanity's ignorant (uniformed) and often disobedient waters.

Tasty Metaphors

To me, euphemisms are chocolate, and blunt speech is peanut butter.

Chocolate delivers things sweetly without deterring the energy of the truth, whereas peanut butter is what it is; the more you get of it, the more it renders you speechless until it is properly absorbed.

Chocolate is used in two ways - man's way or God's way.  Man's way is as a deceptive (often cajoling) candy coating.  God's way is lovingly - to make the truth easier to swallow, accept, and receive.

Some people can only receive truth if it is delivered like peanut butter - straightforward, thick, bursting with oils and flavor.  Peanut butter coats the tongue with substance while blocking all other flavor sensations; it's the peanut, the whole peanut, and nothing but the peanut - take it or leave it.

Others must be soothed and uplifted with chocolate parable and analogy before the wakeup call of super-caffeinated reality finally hits home.

Sometimes chocolate works better wrapped around a little peanut butter.  Sometimes peanut butter needs a little chocolate mixed with it.  God knows how to apply them both successfully, and I find His methods fascinating.

How do you best handle and/or deliver the truth?  One thing's for certain - when Daddy is involved in your prayerful approach, you can trust His palate.  Rest assured, He will handle everything else.

Here's to obedient, flavorful relationships...

Food for Thought

I've concluded a series on the Glory Shield Ministries website about the Seven Things That God Hates, and the posts really made me think.  So much of what Daddy despises has to do with pride.  Today I ask that you re-read the post He gave me titled, "The Truth About Pride" and think about its revelatory truths in relation to what God hates.

Remember that pride, in all its forms, is built on false foundations.

Lord willing, I've got a busy Sunday ahead, but I will see you all next week with fresh and encouraging posts for Daddy's Girl.

Love to all,

Let It Be Strange

Growing more and more in love with Jesus and no longer recognize the world?  You're exactly where God wants you to be, so look around you and let it be strange.  You don't fit in here, and that's not a crime or a pity.  You were meant to be "set apart", and there are others who are just like you... so be encouraged.

We look at this world as if at a strange animal, for only the aroma of Heaven now fills and gratifies our souls.

Christ's garments beckoning to me in brightness everlasting are the only things - any more - to which my soul delightfully responds.  All else is darkness.  All else is worry.  All else is sorrow, for my JOY is in one Holy thing... Christ, the Lord.

God and His Heaven - as I take a look around me - are the only notes not "sour" in the melodies I sing.  Daddy has surrounded me with those whose hearts enjoy His favor, and with them I gladly proclaim the depths of JOY bells sounding in the ears of all believers... those who mark Him as their King.

All else is deafness, deaf to the loving tones of JESUS; because only the ears of Faith Believing receive the words of THE Great King!

So take a look around you, and pray for the hearts who don't know Jesus, that He'll break the sadness and bring them to the light of spring... and the Living Waters that only His Light heart of favor can birth within them, delivering their souls from this cruel world of suffering.

As long as you breathe, it's not too late to follow Jesus.  Suffering for His Name's sake is the only kind of trial that brings reward... that brings JOY... that brings favor.  Won't you take His hand today?  Let's pray...

[Father, I love You.  Father, I need You.  God, please forgive me for every way that I have sinned against You.  God, please restore me, and truly bless me; make me a vessel to bring Your Light to every soul I see in this world who is in darkness.  In Jesus' enduring Name I pray and thank You.  Amen.]

Almighty Father, please touch the hearts of all those reading with your keen desire to know You as their King.  Usher in Your holiness to all souls who invite You.  Cleanse them by Your Blood and bring light to all they do in Your Name.
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."  (Romans 12:2)

Daddy's All I Want

Today I woke up with this song rolling through my mind and pressing sweetly on my heart.  It's a precious event whenever I actually hear perfumed song lyrics expressing my deepest thoughts towards my Abba.  He's given me these words, and I've written them as I heard them sung to me.  I pray the sentiments truly bless all of you.

YOU'RE ALL I WANT
(A Song of Desire for Jesus)

Lord, You've made the flowers
           But we only want You

You've made the sunshine
           But we only want You

You've made the oceans
            But we only want You

You've made the mountains
            But we only want You

and the sweeping green pastures
            But we only want You

Lord, it's not that we don't recognize
the deep richness of Your power...

But we desire to be reconciled
to Your heart, above all things!

Lord, You've made the sunsets
             But we only want You

You've made the rainfalls
              But we only want You

You've made the pebbles
              But we only want You

skipping lightly upon the streams.
              But we only want You

You've made my day break
              But we only want You

after nights of suffering
              But we only want You

I seek Your favor and Your heart above all things!

Mighty God, I LOVE YOU
I see Your green eyes through the residue
of all life's troubles, all life brings to discourage me...

Without Your HEART, Your loving care
I would view favor as despair
and I just want to sacrifice my praises ALL DAY LONG...

TO YOU...
Because I only want You

TO YOU...
Because I only want You

TO YOU...  TO YOU!

My Lord, all I really want... is You...

CHOOSE to Laugh!

One day I was very irritated at someone or something (I don't remember who or what), and God used laughter to break that emotion.  In a mass of self-talk and agitation I stormed over to my couch and flung myself down... suddenly, above me I heard a sharp POP! and my head began to sting.

Immediately God opened my spirit eyes to angels standing nearby, bowed back in laughter!

I'd placed my flip-top cell phone on the back of the couch, and when I collapsed there having my "hissy", the phone slid off the headrest and popped me in the head!

Seeing the pure hilarity of the angels and recognizing my silly state, I couldn't help but laugh with them...  moments afterward, I realized the anger had gone.

:0)

God's humility and strength in laughter is a marvelous way to unload the grappling hook of anger and all of its irritations - robbing the enemy of any ultimate chance to steal our JOY...

Daddy is magnificent!

God has told my family in Christ many times that we can literally "laugh" our way to deliverance and healing.  All we have to do is yield our emotions to Him, and He will secure us in JOY.  That day I chose to yield... and I'm glad.

"A merry heart does good like a medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones." (Proverbs 17:22)

Which will you choose?

Are You Ready for Change?

(Public Domain photo)
My thoughts are a bit rambled today, but I want to ask you all a question:
How do you feel about autumn coming?

Sounds like a silly question, perhaps, but when looked upon in the context of "change", its importance quickly escalates.

In terms of my acceptance of the new phase or "season" of life Daddy's plan presents, I'm learning to welcome turning leaves and cooler breezes.  Our God is good, and so are all of His plans, thoughts, and intentions for us; that often includes the advent of autumn's deep sleep.  The chubby caterpillar must pupate in silence before emerging in colorful manifestation of miraculous metamorphosis.  In this aspect, I welcome autumn's onset.

How about you?

God is the God of growth and change; no Christian life can prosper without it.  God is not stagnant; nothing in His creation ever is, entirely.  Even the Dead Sea grows more briny and bitter with passing years.  Unchecked disobedience grows worse, and righteous decisions for Christ grow more fruitful. Things either grow right or they grow left - but they always, always grow and, as I've said, growth means change - for better or worse.

I've decided to grow from glory to glory in Christ, as His scripture says.  Doing so at times means branching out, launching out into the unfamiliar but with the familiar touch of Jesus' hand to guide me. The warmth of Christ's hand, His holy breath upon me, and His power leading the way greatly brightens the autumn path.  Daddy's love gives us courage to face unknown seasons approaching, and His love can never be taken away.  So I'm set to see the summer pass with increasing satisfaction and JOY... I'm ready to let its greenery go so that God can bring forth colorful metamorphosis in me, transforming me to even higher ground.

The greater portion and His reward awaits all who are in obedience... I think that's mostly what I'm talking about.  So we must be ready, in His timing, to step forward and view the future in Him as the true blessing it is.

Are you ready?

Thanks for letting me share my heart,
DADDY'S GIRL

Manasseh Made It... So Can You!

As a matter of course in casual conversation, the Lord won't allow me to refer to Manasseh as "Israel's most wicked king", even though scripture basically describes him as such.
"Manasseh was 12 years old when he became king, and he reigned 55 years in Jerusalem.  But he did evil in the sight of the Lord, according to the abominations of the nations whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.  ...So Manasseh seduced Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to do more evil than the nations whom the Lord had destroyed before the children of Israel."  (2 Chron. 33:1-2 & 9)
That's because of the mercy God showed Manasseh when he earnestly repented after the king of Assyria took him captive with hooks and chains.  As scripture describes it:
"Now when he was in affliction, he implored the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, and prayed to Him; and He received his entreaty, heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom.  Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God." (2 Chron. 33:12-13)
It's also because, to our God, sin is sin is sin, and no transgression ranks "worse" than any other. Period.  The lawbreaking jaywalker is just as much in need of repentance and cleansing as the ax murderer, in God's eyes.

God accepted Manasseh's humbled, sincere entreaty and restored him - that's that.

THANK YOU, JESUS that's that because of what it means for you and I; for no one sits in a sinless, ivory tower before the Lord.  Regardless of the kind or level or frequency of sin, it all separates us from our Holy God, and we all stand in desperate need of forgiveness and cleansing - from the chronic liar to the serial rapist.

Sincerity's the Key

All it takes is sincere repentance to be completely restored and spared from the utter doom and desolation of eternal separation from God.  Manasseh did it, and God rewarded him. Daddy received his humble entreaty and brought him back to his kingdom.  How GLAD it must have made Hezekiah on the balconies of Heaven to receive the good report of his son's repentance before almighty God!

Beloved, the best part of this story is that what God does for one, He'll do for all. No matter the sin, the Lord's hand is outstretched to you today and every day, asking you to sincerely repent.  Turn to God and be restored, for He will abundantly pardon.  He did it for Manasseh, and He'll do it for you.

Praising Him for His ABUNDANT Mercy,
Daddy's Girl

And Most of All...

What do you love most about the Lord?

That's a challenging question, especially since only Christ and Holy Spirit know everything about His infinitely powerful, loving, benevolent character and grace.

How does it feel, I wonder, to be "enthroned in Righteousness"?  Daddy literally is, you know.  He is seated in all of His attributes - firmly settled on our behalf.

God is the greatest blessing to all of mankind and to all of creation and to all of existence.  Attention to detail is His forte (as is everything good and perfect); He never forgets anything of the good we've done.  There is good I've done, even over and over, yet I have forgotten it; "practiced" good is easy to forget.  But Abba never overlooks it, and Abba always rewards it.
"Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man does, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free." (Ephesians 6:8)
Daddy's Righteousness, His benevolence, attention to detail, transcendent memory... what do you love most about the Lord? Nearly impossible to choose, isn't it?

For me, it's His tenderness.  He's told me as much.  He's told me tenderness is His greatest inroad to my heart.  To me, tenderness and kindness are twins.  There is so much that kindness will do and not do.  Like my Heavenly Father, to me attitudes of the heart mean much more than deeds.  Abba will often pre-empt rebuke in dealing with me and just "love me through" a situation, tendering my heart to repentance.  Once the storm has passed, He'll show me more of my contribution to the choppy waves so that I can see clearly into future events and bear testimony of His unyielding patience and love.

He will also tender my heart towards those I must forgive by emphasizing the tenderness He has shown me and encouraging my heart with the nourishing truth of His good pleasure birthed in sweet-smelling savor every time I obey Him. (I love the way God speaks to me, knowing exactly how to strengthen and comfort my being.  Only a God enraptured by His own creation's progress in holiness and "wholly consumed" in our well-being could accomplish such things!)

Who can resist such kindness?  Indeed, I would do anything for God's tender touch, which is applied to me daily whether I do anything or not.  Therefore I revel in His tenderness as bathing in sweet oils, herbs, and intoxicating aromas.  To say the very least, I love Him.

What sparks your greatest passion towards our God?  Thanksgiving in general? His Holiness? His Majesty yet supreme approachability?  All of these are precious gems glinting amid His all-consuming love for the human soul and garnering praise of which He alone is worthy.

Hallelujah!  Amen.
"Now unto the King Eternal, Immortal, Invisible, the Only Wise God be honor and glory forever and ever.  Amen." (1 Tim. 1:17)

Endure the Weeping for the JOY

Can you endure the weeping for a night?

Joy comes in the morning, the scriptures say, and it is true.  What kinds of trials and heartaches have you gone through?  Your victories in Christ are all "memorial stones" to His bulwark of faithfulness.  Get out your remembrances of how Jesus saved your soul, then of how He saved you from dangers seen and unseen; get out your instruments of praise to His Holy Name, and beat the devil into the ground when he tries to discourage you!

Weeping is inevitable.  Jesus wept.  But we don't have to weep forever.  Beloved, we are not consigned to a lifetime of weeping or bad circumstances or chain reactions of negative events; to believe we are is to believe a lie.  Daddy had to clarify this for me when I believed in my heart (nearly unbeknownst to me) that my life was consigned to negative events repeated and offset by other negative events.  Sounds strange, doesn't it?  Still, there it is.

In 1992, I lost my mother, my job, and my car in three months... that chain of events adversely affected my psyche, and the Lord knew it.  He set about from that time leading me in a way that would break the terror of furtherance of such atrocities to my emotions.  He set my eyes on Him - on His favor and supernatural perseverance in His Name.  In other words, He began a new level of teaching me how to rely on Him completely.  My mother had "lived" the example of such things in front of me for the 27 precious years she was with me... so it was my turn to decide whether or not I would continue in the Lord or go my own way (again).

Saints, there is nothing like falling on your hind parts repeatedly to familiarize you with the sting of disobedience.  Been there, done that, burned ALL the T-shirts!  I decided to follow Jesus as my mother had taught me; and so God was enabled to teach me, gently, how to endure the time of suffering, persevere through the night of heavy, briny tears, and look to the NEW DAY dawning each time His sun rose from the bright line of the horizon.

God alone is Good.

Get out your musical instruments and praise His Name, Saints!  Remember, you hold a musical instrument in your throat and in your hands and feet also!  Whatever resonates or makes a noise or forms a beat in any way can be utilized by Holy Spirit to break the pattern of sorrow in your lives.  The key, the battle ax, and the secret is PRAISE!

Praise will beat the enemy into the ground and expose him for the useless, paltry, powder-puff he is!  To the Mighty Hands of the Lord he is no more than a stinking, ugly, puny maggot not even grown into a fly!  Cling to our God, beloved!  CLING TO OUR GOD IN HOPE, IN PRAISE, and MAGNIFY HIS HOLY NAME!  Sing to Him.  Give Him the sacrifice of praise today - and exalt Him even if you don't feel like it - so He can break the stronghold of tears that surround you and JOYFULLY turn your night into day.
"Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His Holy Name, for His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but JOY comes in the morning."  (Psalm 30:4-5)
