Choice All Too Real

A popular argument of those opposing Christ's followers is that Christians haven't had a real opportunity to be exposed to any other beliefs since Christianity has so pervaded America's history.  Indeed, the country was founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  However, speaking for myself and my life experiences, I have this to say:

Because my mom was a believer and my earthly father was not, from childhood I saw life lived before me both ways and had a starkly objective field from which to choose, since I loved them both.  I haven't had faith in God "shoved down my throat" all my life and just "haven't known any better".  No, sir.

If anything, my free will to choose and the urgency of choice was stretched before me more than anything else.  The ultimate decision was mine; I was not "brainwashed" to believe in God.  Rather, God proved Himself to me... and so did the enemy.

My parents' marriage mirrored Psalm 1, and our household was fertile ground for a showcase of "the truth" and "the lie" of life.  I saw people at their very best and their very worst.  I saw light and darkness, God and the enemy - and made my own decision.  So did my siblings.  So must each of you.

Eternally, God's word is True.  As one who stands in this world of millions receiving Truth and billions rejecting it, I declare unto you today that only choosing faith in Jesus the Christ will loose you from sin's bondages and deliver your life into FREEDOM and JOY.

Uncomfortable Truths

God knows the yearning of your heart for peace and safety and righteous living.  There is nothing you or anyone can hide from Him, and that's a good thing.  Those of us who want to do the right thing but feel we don't know how... God knows this, and He can teach you the right way to live if you are willing to let go of all of your old definitions and do things HIS way - not your own.

For instance, what does "pride" mean to you? What does "luck" mean to you?  What about "our own strength and abilities"?  All of these are notions of the world, the flesh, and the enemy that hold absolutely no truth, value, or worth to God and His definitions. I found that out the hard way, friends; I know first-hand the truth of what I've said, so let's talk about it:

Pride "takes credit as source" for a thing.  Which one of us has any good thing we alone have birthed?  Any good thing we haven't received?  Think about this: God excellently modeled righteous conduct before us in that even He did not claim "pride" in expressing approval of His Son.  Rather, He declared, "this is My Beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased."  Not "proud" of, but well pleased in His beloved Son; His Son in Whom He delights and takes great pleasure.  Even then Daddy linked His heart with mankind, because the place where our human race was born literally means "delight, pleasure"!  God delighted in Christ the Son of man, as we are to delight in our own sons and daughters before Him.  We can't take credit for their holy hearts, folks - if they turn out well, it is the Lord's doing through us.  The same God Who taught us through our parents teaches our children through us... and so on... for He alone is "Source" and "Cause" and "Originator" and "Wellspring" and "Father".  (Read more in, "The Truth About Pride".)

Luck is worldly praise of the enemy.  The "Lucifer" God created no longer lives, friends; he was slain by the very hands of the pride he embraced.  But the adversary zaps strength from individuals who submit to the careless practice of crediting "luck" for the good in life, rather than the Father of Heaven Who is the only true Source of every good and perfect thing.

What unsuspecting souls don't realize is the enemy can never bless, but only curse.  Those who ignorantly take phrases involving "luck" to their lips commend a curse over themselves and/or others, and the enemy relishes every moment of it.

Resolve to spew these terms out of your mouths, beloved; declare your praises (casual or otherwise) to Jehovah God, Jesus the Christ, and Holy Spirit alone - and be blessed.

Our own strength...?

The strength of man(kind) is an oxymoron.  There is no strength, but of God.  The notion of "my own strength and abilities" apart from Daddy is a bad joke.  Same thing with "my own wisdom"... I'm SMH at this very moment, because life has taught me that the only thing I can do "of myself" is sin and mess up my life.  I've got the market totally cornered on that score! LOL!  But wisdom and strength are none of mine without the Lord's mercy and power imparted to me.  Period.  Anyone believing they have any virtue outside of God's Sovereign ability is deceived.  Period again.

BUT... absolutely anyone who humbles him/herself before God and asks in faith - amid their hunger and thirst - to receive any gift from His coffers SHALL RECEIVE in merciful abundance whatever they ask!

"Whatsoever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have them." (Mark 11:24)
Let's pray...

[Merciful Father, we believe that Your word by Your definitions is Truth.  We believe that we have no good thing apart from You and that YOU (not us or anyone/anything else) are the One and Only Source of all things victorious, good, and perfect in this or any universe.  We desire to bless only and not curse, so we obediently spew all cursing out of our mouths and we ask your forgiveness for taking up such things.  We have no strength, wisdom, or knowledge - no movement or existence - without You.  We owe to YOU everything of life and love and substance in our lives, and we humbly submit to Your Power and Authority over all existence.  We bless Your Holy Name, and we ask You to enable us to receive Your supernatural wisdom by resolving ourselves to acknowledge and agree with all of Your Truth only... for You ARE the Truth.

In the Name of Jesus Christ, I seal every word of truth gone forth from this blog into myself and every reader, Daddy.  Thank You for loving us unconditionally and giving us every good thing from the eternal wellsprings of Your understanding.  In Jesus' Name I pray and thank You.  Amen.]

Out of the Pit: His Inroads

God told me that tenderness is the greatest inroad to my heart.  He knows that so many things I value lay beneath the "tenderness" umbrella also - like kindness, consideration, gentleness, and honesty. He told me that when He approaches my heart with His tenderness, I will do anything He asks.  He's right.

Daddy also knows I've longed for these things my whole life and constantly yield to their infusion into my being. God's tenderness drew me out of my heart of selfishness and unforgiveness... it's still doing so.  Self-loathing and self-pity most recently appeared on the list of decedents fallen to His merciful deliverance... that's still happening also.

In the midst of it all, Christ grants me visitations and blessings of His own life imparted to my body; mingled with and attached to my soul to keep me looking forward into His face. His kindness is no joke or prank on me, and He will not take it away.  I cannot adequately express how vitally important that truth is to my heart as a woman, and as His child.

Here's an encounter He shared with me to bless and encourage my soul and strengthen me in the confidence of His love... I'd usually share this on Beyond the Veil, but it has so much to do with His true and splendid heart for me (and all of us), I know Daddy's Girl readers will benefit from it, too.

The Lord stood in the rain and waited for me with His hand outstretched.  I joined Him in the rain and watched it wash His head and shoulders and soak His Godly frame.

He turned towards me, I turned towards Him and watched the drops dive from His lashes to His mouth; as He blinked, slight splashes hit my face.  He held my cheek in His warm, strong hand, and I looked into His caring eyes.

He breathed so deeply His healing breath that it surprised my insides.  Then He kissed me and held my rain-soaked face to His breast as the wisdom on His lips seeped through to my tongue, warming my frame.  God's kisses taste like honey, and each one drips with the knowledge of the Father's "inner courts".  How lovely...

We stood there in the rain, my Lord and I, and nothing could breach the deep knowing of me established by His touch and by His willingness to wait... and not withdraw His hand.

He's willing to be the One waiting with hope for my heart to respond.  He's willing to give me all the time I need to learn and to grow in intimate trust of His heart.  He teaches me my value so tenderly that I cannot walk away from His love or resist His affectionate call.

He is my Lover, after all, as well as my Friend... and my King... and my God. He is forever my Beloved, and I am forever His.  Amen.

What's the greatest inroad to your heart?  Will you release it to the Lord?  He awaits you.

It's DEFINITELY Coming...

My mother used to tell me to be sure that - if I asked something of the Lord - I was certain about receiving it.  She'd always follow that statement with His authority in her voice as she said, "Because if you ask Him - He'll give it to you."

Ma always communicated the serious, no-nonsense, loving heart of the Father to me. God is someone to be loved and honored and revered and obeyed... but never "toyed" with.  God is an earnest, faithful, heart-felt Father.  That's what I got from my mother about Him in the areas of asking His blessing.

She was absolutely right.

I've been thinking over the past few days about how we can ask God for something and pray about that thing for days, weeks, months, and even years without necessarily seeing it brought forth.  BUT... in all that time God has been working to bring about the answer in His timing because only He knows whether or not we are able to handle/bear receiving what we've asked.  We humans are a trip... no - we're a journey!  And only Daddy is up to the task of caring for us!  LOL!

Once the fullness of His timing has come that our request be brought forth, nothing above, on, or under the earth can stop it from colliding with us.  Sometimes - even though we've asked for years - when the blessing arrives, we're so taken aback by it happening and by its progression that we actually have the nerve to ask (even, beg) God to slow things down!

Ever been there?  Lol... I have, and at no time is my mother's voice heard more clearly echoing through the chambers of my memory: "If you don't want it, don't ask Him for it.  Because if you ask Him - He'll give it to you."

Surely God is THE faithful God. Just hold on, beloved; your answers assuredly are coming.  And that's the advice and encouragement I give to you in His Name today.

Be blessed.

I have learned to always regard God's definitions above my own... usually instead of my own. As a matter of truth, whenever I want a quick course on God's will regarding anything, I usually stop to consider the approach my flesh would take, and then do just the opposite.

The flesh will never align with God's plan, will, and directives because it is at war with Him.  Period.

Knowing that Daddy's chastisement of us comes from His love of us AND His desire to bless us is an example of my yielding to His definitions instead of my own. Yes, scripture makes it clear that God chastises every son and daughter He has accepted and that without His extreme care-taking, monitoring, and discipline we're rudderless and fatherless to boot. God's correction is a good thing.

But what has particularly blessed me of late regarding this point is a word He gave me just yesterday regarding why He points out sin in my life. Here's an excerpt I pray will bless you:

"Blessing is what I'm after.  Blessing is what I desire to bestow on My Beloved, constantly, and if I see sin is in the way, I will 'focus' on removing that sin - pressing My heart into the heart of the Godly - delicately - that they will yield to what I have planned for them in blessing through deliverance from sin."

For me, this simple explanation carries great power, because it tells me the character of our God is ALWAYS benevolent, ALWAYS altruistic, and ALWAYS faithfully progressing His plan upon our souls for our certain good.

It must be agonizing for God - being the Source of Giving - to not be enabled to bless and bless and bless the way He wants.  He is ALL ABOUT blessing, not cursing.  It broke His heart that He had to curse the earth for man's sake, but it was benevolence in Him in His love for us to do so.  He had earth bear a huge brunt of sin's repercussions because He took us from the ground, but for the actual redemption of the souls of mankind, only He could pay the proper ransom and penalty - so He did.  God is always seeking to rescue us from our own godless perpetrations, leaving His wisdom, growth, and refinement necessary for transformation filling the void.

When I come in to Him as I'm supposed to so that I can be delivered and freed, He blesses me.  Then, when time comes for further, elevated blessing to be released He moves into place to bestow it... but then sees more of my sin blocking His way.  That's when He comes to me and delicately presses His heart "into the heart of the Godly... that they will yield..."

God's never the problem, y'all - I am.  We are.  BUT HE LOVES ME/US ANYWAY!  He knows He's dealing with (not even dirt, but) dust, and that's why He SO appreciates even the least we do to sincerely submit to Him in obedience.  He approaches me to bless me, not to curse or condemn me... and when He finds sin, He asks for my cooperation so that He can take it away, that He might move forward with His goal for my life and all of our lives... BLESSING.

Boy, I had God all wrong, Saints.  His FIRST motivation is BLESSING, but accomplishing that goal necessitates the removal of sin - and that's my junk, not His.  But He loves me so much He dedicates Himself to removing it from my life so that He can get back to the good stuff... the stuff He planned in the first place... what He longs for and longs to do...

His definitions are Truth, and so is He.  Daddy is all we need.

May His Eternal Plan of Blessings be brought forth unto all of you,

Yield to His Deliverance

Friends, I welcome all who are willing to join me in this prayer.  The Lord is listening...

I commend my heart, mind, will, and emotions to the custody of the Lord God Almighty.  Daddy, as Christ our Example entrusted all of His being to Your hands, so I yield and entrust all of my being to Your will, plan, and design for my life.  I trust You, and I love You.

Father God, in Jesus' Name... to all You purpose to do with me and my life, I YIELD my heart and my spirit.  I agree with You.  Affect change within me by Your definition, plan, way, will, and timing; confirm to my heart and soul that I am pleasing in Your sight.  With all Your will for the deliverance, discernment, and freeing of my soul (which spans a lifetime), I agree.  Endue me with Your confidence and obedience to withstand the will of mankind and stand in Your designation and positioning for my life.

I die to "self" and commend my spirit to Your hands, dear Father.  I bless Your Holy Name and ask that You continue to lead me in the way everlasting, which is Your Way only.  In Jesus' Name and for His sake I pray.  Amen.

Out of the Pit: Self Love

Certain realizations I must come to before God can even begin to approach dealing with my struggles with self love.  Please bear with me as I discuss what's He's lovingly revealed to my spirit.

God looks at me through the veil of Christ's blood.  That was His idea, His plan of mercy because of His great love.  God's unconditional love of me isn't a "mechanical" thing, it's an emotional thing.  It's not solely based on His character, but wholly based on His heart.

"For God so loved the world that He gave..." We all know the verse, don't we?  But how many of us actually let the living, breathing emotion of it sink into our spirits?

God's love of us is very personal, decisive, and intentional.  It doesn't exist apart from His will - it's not something He just can't help because it's automatic; how that depersonalizes Him!

I'm coming into the true realization that God is "all up in our kool-aid" because HE WANTS TO BE, not because it's just the nature of Love and since He is Love that's how it has to be! Our God is not a prisoner to His own character or emotions; rather, He is the Self-Existent One, in full control of it all... and His passion for us is real and deliberate.

What's more, Daddy absolutely cringes every time we say to ourselves or to others that we are not special.  Saints, we ARE special to God!  Do you truly believe He would sacrifice His beloved Son for anyone or anything not special to Him?

Most times we avoid thinking we're special because the notion is so often misunderstood as meaning we're "better than" others or hold some advantage others don't or cannot hold. That's not what God has communicated to me; He deals in TRUTH, not comparison.  Our God looks straight into our eyes and tells us what we mean to Him.  He tells me I have value and worth and that - TO HIM - I am special.  He feels the same way about all of us.

Daddy gave Jesus to us - not because He had no choice or say in the matter, but - because He so loved.  It was a conscious, willing, emotional decision born completely of His heart of Love.  The fiery coals of God's heart birthed the plan of salvation, not an isolated, knee-jerk reflex of His character.  Yes, God is Love and it is His nature to Love, but He does not love us blindly.  God's plan of redemption was based upon His heart's passionate, decisive desperation to be reconciled and reunited to His beloved, "special" creation. That's how He views you and me.

That's a huge part of what I've had to recognize in yielding all self-loathing to His powerful, Holy hands.  For me, it's super-important I understand and absorb that God doesn't love me or value me just because He's bound by His character apart from His own will; that's ridiculous.  Rather, Daddy loves me because He wants to; He's chosen to because I'm special to Him, and that choice is what's upheld by His immutable character in Righteousness and Faithfulness, forever.

[Merciful Father, we relinquish and repent of embracing all lies of worthlessness and self-loathing.  By the Fire of Your Holy Spirit, please seal within us the Truth of our value and Your unconditional love of us. We bless You in Jesus Christ's Name. We agree with every ounce of Your unfailing, passionate, deliberate love of us, and we accept and receive the truth that we are special to You, and we are special beings because of Your great love of us. We choose to walk in that Truth as changed, redeemed, restored vessels belonging solely and wholly to You. Thank You, dearest, darling Father; in Jesus' Name we pray. Amen.]

Out of the Pit: A Series

In terms of deliverance, the farther forward we go with God, the farther backward He goes with us.

I've been experiencing that pretty pointedly for about a week.  Things and people encountered at the very beginning of my struggles with personal betrayals, my identity, molestation, sexual sins, and self-loathing (to name a few) have been surfacing from what seems the deepest pit of my memories and emotions.

At first I blamed the various recurrences on the enemy, like a lot of us do.  But then Holy Spirit reminded me that, when Daddy is targeting an area in our lives for deliverance and healing, the infected tissue beneath the wound must be exposed for cleaning.  It's not the sin He's bringing up - for that's been covered by Christ's Blood - but the resulting pollutant debris in the stream of my God-given emotions and well-being must be stirred up, fished out, and destroyed.  It's up to me to yield each one of those recollections to Jesus when they surface in my mind, because God's timing for their demise and my freedom from their caustic shackles has come.

The weight-bearing, care-worn, clouded stream  of my being must be cleansed completely by His pure water. The River of Life must run clear and cold through the heated, pressured clods of the past to bring truth, clarity, and Daddy's Righteous Holdings to every area.  Total freedom is His goal for my life, and there's still more to go and much more to come, in His Name.

So, in the next few posts (I don't know how many), my friends, as God leads I will discuss the process through which He's carrying me while drawing me even closer to the treasures of His heart.  I know the past is a cruel bedfellow, hoarding wicked emotions and evil intentions; therefore, God's got to be allowed to go down to the last jot and tittle within me and dig out the "uglies", as He has promised to do.  The roots of my continuing struggles with self-value, hope, and unconditional (agape) love must be addressed.

By Daddy's Spirit I sense and believe that many of you also are experiencing God's tug upon your heart to release hindering wounds and bondages to His tender, capable care.  In all sincerity, friends, my prayers are with you.

God willing, as I share my experiences and struggles honestly and faithfully, we'll all pray together about what we're going through.  As the series continues, I will gratefully bless the Lord for His continual faithfulness in lifting me out of the pit.

Psalm 37: Peace, Truth, and Favor

It's a lie that evildoers prosper, my friends.   I don't usually present whole passages of scripture as the bulk of my posts, but it's on my heart that somebody needs this encouraging Truth and blessing of Holy Scripture today.  God's power couched within it speaks for itself.

Know that I'm praying for all of you, and I humbly solicit your continued prayers for me. Now let's allow God's words through David to speak Peace, Truth, and Favor to our souls.

God bless you.

"Do not fret because of evildoers,
Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
And wither as the green herb.
Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
Fret not yourself in any way to do evil.
For evildoers shall be cut off;
But those who wait on the Lord,
They shall inherit the earth.
For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,
But it shall be no more.
But the meek shall inherit the earth,
And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
The wicked plots against the just,
And gnashes at him with his teeth.
The Lord laughs at him,
For He sees that his day is coming.
The wicked have drawn the sword
And have bent their bow,
To cast down the poor and needy,
To slay those who are of upright conduct.
Their sword shall enter their own heart,
And their bows shall be broken.
A little that a righteous man has
Is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
But the Lord upholds the righteous.
The Lord knows the days of the upright,
And their inheritance shall be forever.
They shall not be ashamed in the evil time,
And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
But the wicked shall perish;
And the enemies of the Lord,
Like the splendor of the meadows, shall vanish.
Into smoke they shall vanish away.
The wicked borrows and does not repay,
But the righteous shows mercy and gives.
For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth,
But those cursed by Him shall be cut off.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,
And He delights in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;
For the Lord upholds him with His hand.
I have been young, and now am old;
Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken,
Nor his descendants begging bread.
He is ever merciful, and lends;
And his descendants are blessed.
Depart from evil, and do good;
And dwell forevermore.
For the Lord loves justice,
And does not forsake His saints;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.
The righteous shall inherit the land,
And dwell in it forever.
The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom,
And his tongue talks of justice.
The law of his God is in his heart;
None of his steps shall slide.
The wicked watches the righteous,
And seeks to slay him.
The Lord will not leave him in his hand,
Nor condemn him when he is judged.
Wait on the Lord,
And keep His way,
And He shall exalt you to inherit the land;
When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
I have seen the wicked in great power,
And spreading himself like a native green tree.
Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more;
Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.
Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright;
For the future of that man is peace.
But the transgressors shall be destroyed together;
The future of the wicked shall be cut off.
But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord;
He is their strength in the time of trouble.
And the Lord shall help them and deliver them;
He shall deliver them from the wicked,
And save them,
Because they trust in Him."
By Daddy's definition, prosper means "to go through" (as in victory).  Well, beloved, no evildoer is going to make it through this life in victory; of that we have God's promise.
Keep your eyes on Jesus, and pray for the workers of iniquity in your midst that they might turn from their destructive ways and choose Righteousness as their banner before it is too late.  Such things are pleasing to the Lord, and He will reward your heart's sincere obedience with Peace from His very Bosom.  Remember that "He Himself is our Peace".  Hallelujah.
My prayers are with you.

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
(2 Tim. 4:7)

Whatever God has assigned and blessed your hands to do, beloved, do it with all of your might, giving no thought to the approval of mankind but only to the approval of God.  Keep on shining, keep on declaring His Name to the nations, and keep on meeting with Him in the intimacy He has prescribed for you as His child, His friend, and His Bride.

Press on and press through, dear children. Don't just go to the end, but in Jesus go THROUGH the end! Running any course all the way up to the finish line without breaking through does not constitute winning... you must FINISH the course God has set before you if you want to win.  You must CROSS OVER that finish line, beloved.

Whether or not you finish before or after anyone else DOES NOT MATTER in the Kingdom of God.  Remember that speed and strength alone don't win the course... rather, those who endure through the very end are given the victory!

With God, if you finish according to His will - YOU WIN!  If you finish... you win!  Compare yourselves to NO ONE, and pay no attention to the speed of the brother or sister in the other lane; rather, PRAY FOR THEM TO FINISH ALSO!  And if they need a helping hand, HELP THEM through! Knowing that, for ALL OF US in Jesus, if we finish according to His will - we WIN!

See you after the finish, in Jesus' Name...

Here's Why We Praise

All our lives we've heard truths like, demons tremble when we praise the Lord... and this is so. But it's not the whole story, beloved.

Whenever God's children praise Him out of a pure heart of love and thanksgiving - whether following such miracles as He showed Moses or simply during times of regular intimacy - demons do much more than tremble.  Through God's Spirit I have beheld them literally destroying themselves and each other while Daddy's kids praise and exalt Him.  They turn on themselves like cowardly beggars, feeding on their own flesh.  They turn on each other like the disloyal, twice-damned thieves they became when they forsook the Lord of Glory and left their first estate.

God's praises carry power to conquer the flesh altogether and to continually remind the enemy of his powerless state.  BUT THAT'S NOT THE TRUEST REASON WE PRAISE GOD. No, sir.

Hallelujah to His Majestic Mighty Name... we praise God our Father because He IS.  We praise Him just because He is the Self-Existent One and the coolest Brother out there!  ISN'T THAT THE REAL TRUTH?!  Of course it is!

We praise our Father because we are crazy about HIM... and because EVERYTHING IN HEAVEN AND EARTH AND IN ALL ETERNITY IS ALL ABOUT HIM!  Because there is NONE like Him and we want the universe to know we belong to Him and LOVE Him more than our very existence!

THAT'S why we praise Daddy.  Yep, it's an awesome perk that the demons are subject to us in His Name and also "believe and tremble" as scripture says but - also according to scripture - IT'S NOT TO BE THE FOCUS OF OUR JOY OR REJOICING...
"Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in Heaven." (Luke 10:20)
THAT'S what I'm rejoicing about!  I'm a daughter of the Most High God Who is Majestic in Holiness and Awesome in Glory... who of the puny, so-called "gods" in any world can touch Him to be like Him?

For there is NONE like unto OUR GOD... full of Goodness and Truth, Mercy and Grace, showing forgiveness to thousands of generations of those who LOVE Him, and having mercy on all who sincerely call upon Him and faithfully await His appearing...

HALLELUJAH! That's why we praise the Lord God Almighty, friends! In a nutshell, it's...

Know Him "Close and Warm"

God created a race of beings He could call His own children, formed in His own image; a race of beings with whom He could "fellowship".

FELLOWSHIP:  Be in close communion with, join, enjoy.

God created us for friendship, companionship, and intimacy.

INTIMACY:  Close or warm friendship or understanding.

God focuses on the "close or warm" portion of that word's definition. Just the places the world, the flesh, and the enemy want us to avoid are the very avenues through which Holy Spirit accomplishes His greatest triumphs in acquainting us with Daddy's true heart.

What's Daddy thinking about?  Holy Spirit knows, and since He indwells us, we can know - at least to the greatest extent we're enabled by God's benevolent power.

Saints, you'd be surprised how far you can really go with Abba when you are sincerely willing to seek Him out.  He will literally give you all that you desire within the realm of possibility while we're still connected to our flesh.  Does that truth light a fire in you or make you hungry for further knowledge of the things of His Kingdom?  I hope so!

We're the ones who place limits on God and the potential for growth in our relationship with Him.  You can't pray any  more "into His will" than to ask for deeper, richer, fuller, better relationship with Him in the "close and warm" ways.  He longs for that.

Let Holy Spirit stir the embers in you that want to know God more.  He's your Creator, and He formed your very being to crave His Being and all the richness of knowledge of His Spirit's inner workings.

Don't let the enemy tell you God can't be known in the most tender and delightful places of His heart - for He CAN.  Remember that the very place He formed and placed Adam - Eden - literally means "delight, pleasure".
"Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart." (Psalm 37:4)

That's God saying, 'ask to know Me in the most ecstatically euphoric places of My Being, and I will answer that longing and cause you to know Me.'

Beloved, does that stir your hearts to "know Him" in newer, deeper ways?  It sure stirs mine.

Let's pray:

[Merciful Father, we want to know You in ever deepening ways, according to the desires of Your Spirit.  We want to come to You on Your terms and learn of the wonderful richness and treasure of Your Kingdom's works and spiritual things presided over by You.  We want You, Holy Father, to live and reign within us in all new ways of depth and purpose and fervency.

So, Father, in Jesus' Name I pray the Fire of God into the lives of all reading this blog, that they might hunger and thirst anew for the righteousness and true meaning couched within the heart of God... that they might receive (as they are able) ALL the things the Godhead has for them in true fellowship and greater intimacy by Your design. I remand us all to the custody of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in Christ's Everlasting Name.  Amen.]

Say What?

Adjusting to the ways people communicate with each other is often a challenge for me.  It falls in the "compassion" area God is working on in me.

For instance, many times folks can't address topics directly, so they'll address them indirectly, coming as close to confession or apology as they possibly can without looking you in the eye and speaking boldly.

Other times, people are too weak to receive succinct questioning such that - if pressured - violence is their response. My earthly father was one of many who couldn't receive blatant inquisition without becoming belligerent.  Silence was the way my mother handled it, since he was often violent with her.

Since those days I've seen the wisdom in "picking my battles".  I've also been tendered toward those who struggle to grab the "communication bull" by the horns.  Daddy has taught me, tenderly, that requiring methods of response that please me... is prideful.

(Violence, of course, is never an acceptable interaction.)

Although I consider indirect communication a bit "backhanded" and generally evasive, it does enable individuals to express heartfelt emotions, albeit by less than precise means.  I don't have the market cornered on communication, I admit; so once the intention of their hearts is conveyed, that should be enough.  After all, God reads between our often confused and usually inadequate "lines" of emotion towards Him (mine included) - so we should do the same for others.

People briefly express their hearts in ways that deliver the same sincere sentiments as would a 30-minute speech.  I want my heart to be aligned with God's sensitivity such that, when I sense the meaning of their hearts, I can be grateful and move on without wanting to rub their noses in the infraction or my wounds of offense.  (Condemnation and revenge have no part with true forgiveness.)

"The Lord is merciful and gracious; slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy." (Psalm 103:8)
Humility is gracious and leaves space for the honest expression of one's heart.  Then it receives and appreciates that expression, regardless of whether or not it meets our personal (prideful) specifications. That's the kind of maturity I want, folks; that which comes by God's definition in mercy and grace.  I want to ingest and exhibit Christ-like compassion and humility, which values reconciliation and God's good pleasure above fleshly gratification and personal standards.

Yes, that's the kind of person I want to be.
