O, How Amazing...!

Always take time to contemplate God.  Think about His greatness and the truth that He exists by His own power.  Let yourself be "blown away" by His awesome wonder, like a child.  Daddy loves that.

When we just think on Him and not on anything else, Holy Spirit centers us in a peace not found in any other atmosphere.  Believe me, you can do this for hours and not get tired! Indeed, this way of praising the Father will energize you because it generates thanksgiving... you'll find yourself blessing His Name!

Never be afraid, embarrassed, or ashamed to just "Ooo and Ahhh" over our God, my friends. We're children in His household, after all; and children never outgrow astonishment or ability to be amazed. How wonderful!

Merciful God, You are amazing! How awesomely GREAT You are!

THAT'S Exceptional Generosity!

God is exceptionally generous.

I was thinking about how mankind tends to credit every other thing and person under the sun for miraculous wonders legendarily uttered in theater, branded on celluloid, or sloshed on canvas when, all along, every memorable, creative moment has been a gift from Daddy's hand.

I love writing, I love cinema (stories well told and portrayed), I love visceral sketches and paintings and photographs; yet they are all birthed into humanity from the beneficent womb of Almighty God.

The Father is so desirous of fellowship and camaraderie with us as dear children, He gives us gifts to bless the world whether we're saved or not.  Think about that; God Himself takes relationship with us wherever He can get it.  He seeks harmony and pleasure to befall us, regardless of our place in Him, just because we're His creation and He loves us.  Jesus declares it's Godly maturity to be just as kind and generous to the unlovable as to the lovable:
"But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you?" (Matt. 5:44-46a)
Righteousness is its own reward, Saints; God Himself is enthroned in it.  When we clothe ourselves with Christ and His character and practices, we also clothe ourselves with Abba and become possessed of the marvelous attribute that pours forth blessing and not cursing... as a way of life.  When we yield to Abba's heart in everything but, especially, in the areas most difficult for the flesh to understand, we won't be able to avoid blessing and growth in the manifestation of all things indicative of Him!

Then, like our Father, we will be exceptionally generous.  The smile on our mouths will genuinely spring from wells of Righteousness bubbling effervescently in our hearts.  We'll truly mean the nice things we do, and kindness won't desert our lips when an "enemy" stands before us.  I want that.

We'll bring gifts of encouragement, tenderness, and generosity to the just and the unjust and not snarl at them as they leave our sight.  Like the hand of God equips and strengthens the palettes and brushes of unsaved painters conveying gifts of color and light and depth to the world, we also will bless and pray for those estranged from His Life, that they might one day repent and become partakers of the rich inheritance of His Love for all of mankind!

Do you want the Father's mark on you to that extent, dear ones?  Think hard about it, and deliver to God your answer.  God bless you.

Thoughts a New Bible Brings

I took delivery of a new Bible today.  As I gratefully anointed its cover and pages, dedicating its use to Daddy's purposes, I recalled how I was raised to love Him and to know that, no matter what, HIS word is true.  My entire being welled with tears as I remembered His love-light shining through my mother and how I clung to His words of life through her.  I was raised to love Him, but that was just the beginning.  As I grew into womanhood it became necessary for me to grasp hold of my raising in ways personally pertaining to my life and witness and testimony before Him... and I did.  Thank You, Jesus.

As I held the Bible I prayed over and remembered His truths through my mother and the church in which I was raised (prior to the enemy's ravages of it), I wept inside.  I had the realization of the love of God planted within me when I was just a child, now grown to bloom and flourishing... now living and breathing, ready to be shared and being shared with multitudes in His Name.  I saw the beauty of it all as orchestrated through God's plan revealed to me so clearly... and I rejoice!

Over the years, the word of God has been breathed through my spirit in many glorious ways.  God explains Himself in sonnets spoken to my heart in worship and praise, in words from His Spirit directly to mine as I inquire of Him and His goodness from day to day, and in signs and wonders in His Spirit realm revealed to my eyes.  He is the unceasing love of my heart and life, and my passion for Him and knowledge of His greatness only increases daily as I breathe and bask in His radiating "Son"-shine.

He Himself is the discerner of the thoughts and intents of my heart, for HE is the Word of God made flesh, and I love Him.  His light has revealed and uncovered the tents, shanties, and buildings of my life - whether made of wood, hay, or stubble - and His shaking (like no other) has stripped, exposed, corrected, cleansed, purified, and healed me.  To date, it continues.  Amen.

Dear friends, keep seeking out, receiving, and obeying His written word and His Spirit's utterances to you each day.  Prayerfully hide them in your hearts that they will accomplish the work for which they were sent.  Intimacy with Abba is the key to accomplishing all things He has commanded.  Without entering into privately personal, constant union and interchange born of His Spirit's fire meshed with ours in humility, trust, strength, confidence, anointing, blessing, and power - we can do nothing in fullness.  Allow the passion Jesus pours inside of you to overwhelm and overflow the banks of your souls towards Abba, always... and you will be blessed to endure and obey, faithfully, in Christ's Name!
"For the word of God is alive and full of power; sharper than any two-edged sword; piercing to the dividing line of the soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow; and it is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Heb. 4:12)

Lean in to Him

When I saw this scripture verse, I thought about how precious it feels to have a little child lean into me with all their affection.  Few things match the love of a child; its genuine expression is intoxicating.  Sweet little boys/girls at just the right age not to posture or hold back their need to feel love and adoration and acceptance are an enduring pleasure.  They're not afraid to show us their open, honest, little hearts of love.  Ah... it makes me sigh with delight to think of it!

That's how GOD feels about us, beloved. Don't you love that truth?

Daddy doesn't want us to hesitate or hold back any of our adulation for Him or "need" of Him; He stands gladly poised to supply everything we need at all times.  We're His kids, and He's well able to take good care of us.  Amen.

I tell Him so, from time to time, as I thank Him for my life.  When my mother left the earth, she remanded me to His worthy custody, and Daddy has taken good care of me.  I lean in to Him and tell Him that with tears as often as I think of it.  He richly deserves all of my love and trust and heartfelt expression of intense adoration.  The "fire" of my love I will not withhold from Him.

The One Who my soul loves supplies all of my needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus, and I will "lean in to Him", wrap grateful arms around His neck, and inhale the sweet fragrance of His bountiful Breast all the days of my life.  I pray you all are willing to do the same, because nothing blesses Him more than our passion for Him conveyed without hesitation, reservation, or shame.

Bless Him today with your hugs and kisses, and thank Him for supplying all your needs all the days that you live. Lean in to Him and bless His Soul with the warmest and most earnest embrace of your heart. He will return your passion with overwhelming, unspeakable JOY and love.

Faithfully in Jesus,

The Challenge is Persevering Love

The further along we go in Jesus, the more our persevering love will be tested. Learning to walk in unconditional love is one of the most challenging areas of growth in Christ. That's a large umbrella covering things like forgiveness and mercy and supernatural impartations of faith and grace.  I've been taught that  "hurting people hurt other people", and that's certainly proven true in my life experience.  I've hurt others due to my hurt, and others have hurt me due to their hurt.

Daddy's Heart

Obtaining the understanding of the inner workings of God's heart over the years has been the most powerful key I've been given in learning to love and choosing to love by His definition.  God's heart is amazing... that's seems like such a jaded term, but any language short of tongues falls abysmally short of grasping the extent of power-packed mercy and unfailing love pulsating every moment from His heart.  He is incomparably understanding, forgiving, and merciful.  He accurately gauges every heart because He is the Almighty God, and He casts His line of omniscience clear into the future - knowing whether or not we are (or will be) of a mind to repent and return to Him, and blessing us "here and now" in light of that knowing.

Okay... that's amazing love, Saints.  What we call "the benefit of the doubt" regarding the hearts of loved ones, God doesn't have to guess about... He doesn't doubt in the first place - He knows - and, therefore, applies the same faith He asks us to apply, in "calling things that are not as though they are".  He mercifully withholds judgment and waits patiently for our repentance.

What? Wow!

Those are my thoughts about His utter magnificence today, my friends.  I wanted to share the realization that - as His sons and daughters made in His image and being transformed into the image of Christ - we will be called upon more and more to love as He loved.  We will be asked to forgive as He forgave, persevere as He did, and CHOOSE to love.  I want to answer His call in victory, and I pray you do, too.  Amen.

Be Faithful

photo credit: Billy Wilson Photography via photopin cc
Today my attention was drawn to this verse from 2 Timothy 2:13, describing Daddy's character:
"If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself."
I've enjoyed the truth of this scripture for years - as probably you have - but it never occurred to me until today that whenever I am faithless, I actually deny God.

Wow.  The scriptures say that "faith" literally declares God's existence and His heart to reward those who seek Him out earnestly.  It is "faith" that pleases Him.  So look at all I'm denying when I allow fear or circumstances or the opinions of others to touch my faith... when my heart is faithless, I'm basically saying God does not exist!

Sounds rather harsh but, if by being faithless God would be denying Himself, then it stands to reason that my embrace of faithlessness is also a denial of Him.  Hebrews Chapter 11 declares that our acknowledgement of the truth that God created everything comes by faith.  When I am faithless, I deny the Creator and His creation!

In causing me to realize this, God does not seek to condemn - only to illuminate and (when necessary) convict me of faithlessness so that I will repent and have faith.  In so doing, the Lord sees to it that I will always please the Father, and never deny Him.

If you feel led of God to do so, please pray this prayer with me...

[Merciful Father, in Jesus' Name, I repent of faithlessness in every/any area; I receive Your conviction of my heart and ask Your forgiveness of me for wherever I have embraced fear, doubt, unbelief, forebodings (fear of the future), and every place I have tried to do things in my own strength (prideful striving) and not Yours. I don't want to deny You. Merciful Father, my faith IS in You. I bow my heart and soul to Your will and directives over my life, and I speak Your supernatural impartation of FAITH into every void in me. It's in Jesus' Perfect and Trustworthy Name I pray and thank You.  Amen.]

God be with you and bless you.

Trade Folly for Wisdom and Live

Please never think it a bad or weak thing to humble yourself and obey the Lord. As believers, there will never be a time in our lives when we are not subject to Him; for that, I AM THANKFUL, because God is the only One Who knows what He's doing. Period.

Father, in Jesus' Name, please shield us from the dangerous deceptions of pride - for the unteachable are unreachable.  I know about this first hand... unchecked, pride's ravages shred and decimate young and old for generations.  Instead, dear God, please cause us to bow humbly to Your Wisdom and live!

Pray for my Godly perseverance, beloved; it's being tested mightily, and I am determined not to yield to the folly of impatience or immaturity's irritants.  In Jesus' Name, I remand my heart, mind, will, and emotions to Daddy's custody... for that's the only way His wise love will find me and rise up in me, that I have His ability to endure.

How many of you know what I mean?  A lot of you, I think... and my prayers are with you.

In Jesus' Name,

There's Nothing Like Encouragement

I remember on an episode of "Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman", one of the children of Michaela and Sully was discouraged.  He liked a girl he considered to be way out of his league, because she was very pretty and a whole year older than him.  She was 11.

He moped about for a while, asking advice of his teenaged sister on how to approach the young girl to ascertain her feelings for him and so on.  Sully became aware of his crush on the little girl early on and, in a precious scene between him and his adopted son, the following was said and done:

The little boy (Brian by name) was in the barn with his older sister, grilling her about the etiquette of romance while simultaneously trying to reach a horse bit hung high on a barn post nail.  As he spoke to his sister he leapt repeatedly towards the bit to no avail until, discouraged and exhausted, he collapsed in a piteous heap on the barn floor and said, "Who am I kidding? A girl like that would never be interested in me." It seemed self-pity had the boy in its sights... but here's my favorite part:

At that precise moment, viewers hear the swooshing of Sully's tomahawk flying through the air, then the chop! of it sinking into the barn post, snapping the horse bit's elusive tether.  The mouthpiece falls into Brian's lap, surprising him, and he looks up into Sully's empathetic eyes in time to catch his lifeline of truth, "Just because something's out of reach doesn't mean you can't get it."

That said, Sully smiles at Brian and disappears from the doorway.  The sweet boy's entire countenance brightens, and we know he's going to keep trying to win the heart of the little girl (which, eventually, he does).

There's Nothing Like Encouragement

Isn't ENCOURAGEMENT marvelous?!  I can't watch that scene of Dr. Quinn without welling with tears, even to this day.  I love encouragement.  I would be absolutely nowhere without it.  My mother was a tremendous encourager and, to me, it's the best thing anyone can do for another, for only truth encourages.

With one sentence and a brilliant object lesson, Sully strengthened his son, changing his course and opinion of himself from negative to positive.  That encouragement coming from a man Brian loved and respected turned his "can't" into "can" in mere seconds!  And that's all it takes for us to speak into the hearts and lives of strangers and of those we love, my friends.  Little children who respect you and your love for God; adults who do, and all you touch by your walk with Christ are the most positively susceptible to your encouragements, here and now, in Jesus' Name.

Beloved, make it your purpose at every opportunity to encourage hearts and minds to press on in God and hold on to His Faithful hand.  Holy Spirit will open every door when He sees Daddy's intentions take hold of you; it is the Godhead's JOY to orchestrate and enable encouragements.

Strengthen your brethren with God's truth today; lift them up in Jesus (whether they're down or not); ask God to allow you to brighten any darkness surrounding them, and impart new hope to their souls.  Few things bring such personal satisfaction or satisfy Abba more.

Everyone benefits from a lifted soul, and only Love can lift!  May God's JOY strengthen, encourage, and change you forever!

Filled daily with His "Delight",

Jubilant Praise

With 49 years on earth completed, I have entered the 50th year - the Year of Jubilee. Well, what does that mean? The redemption and return of God's territory, physically and spiritually; the release from slavery of the world, the flesh and the devil; the cancellation of all debt.  That's a big deal, my friends!

My 49th year on earth also marks my 40th year of following Christ; I was saved at age nine.

Can I adequately express my gratitude to the Godhead - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - for ALL They've done for me?  For all They've accomplished within me?  I am an endless vessel of thanksgiving and praise; I am Theirs forever, and I am not living beneath my privileges - Their gifts to me only continue!

Through repentance, the Lord will have mercy on the most sin-sick soul, beloved.  It doesn't matter what you've done; if you turn to Him, sincerely - in repentance and faith in what He has done to open the way to Abba - He will accept you openly.  He will redeem you fully.  He will bless you completely.  No doubt about it, because JESUS IS OUR JUBILEE!

No need to wonder whether or not God is smiling at you - He is.  He only hates sin, my friends; He loves you.  He wants to "fish you out" from beneath the stain and weight of sinful lusts and fruitless endeavors, as He did me.  He wants to fulfill every single one of His promises to your life, as He is doing with me.  He wants to bless... ever to bless, and not curse.  He is blessed by every repentant heart; our contrition is an absolute delight to His Soul.  Bless His Holy Name.

Personal Praise

He's brought everything full circle in my life.  I am where He began to bless me and my bloodline in full; I am not where the enemy said I would be.  I am blessed, empowered, fulfilled, and enlightened by Daddy's wisdom and mercy.  No longer in the wilderness, but starting again, afresh, anew in God's Promised Land, I am experiencing a whole new phase of promises fulfilled; I am equipped to live the blessing He has purposed for me since before my heart began beating.

My "do-over" in the land promised to my forefathers is here.  My house is in order.  God's Jubilee has taken hold of my coffers and released me into freedom in His Name.  Fresh spiritual encounters lead me gently into new knowledge of His realms; I am no longer bound by the past, but released to His fruitful present and boundless future.  I am now enjoying my seventh month of new beginnings (now mingled with my Jubilee), and I ask you...

Who is like our God?  You all know the answer to that!  :0)

Be blessed, everyone.

Time for a Poem

This word of encouragement and reassurance is on my heart for each of you today. I pray you are blessed by its truth, in Jesus' Name.
God knows a soul
from bottom to top;
He knows the mind's thoughts
and what they're about.
God knows the circumstance
that you are in;
the insults and blows to your face and your chin.
The Lord hopes that you will
look up and start talking;
He wants you to confess your sins without balking
or "hmming" and "hawing" and dodging His grace.
God wants you to speak to Him now - face to face.
Since God knows a soul
from top to the bottom,
why would you try living
your whole life without Him?

Believe me, you are richly and dearly loved.  God knows...

Call Upon the Only True Answer

We simply cannot live our lives to any truly good and acceptable and mature end without God.  We cannot move without Him (any more than a pitcher we've molded and fired in a kiln, glazed with care and accuracy, and set on a table could jump off that table and dance).

Beloved, if you're expecting good and perfect (richly seasoned) results from your endeavors apart from the blessings, mercy, and empowerment of Almighty God you've already crashed and burned.  Take it from the former queen of crashing and burning... we all desperately need the Lord.

What does that mean?  Great question (and one I ask frequently about everything), because there's TONS more to it than meets the eye.

We need Daddy for absolutely everything of ability, power, love, and sound mind (sanity) in life.  Period.  No exceptions.  We're not even self-existent, are we?  Roll that around in your mind for a while, beloved... we need God to exact and sustain our own existencePow!

So, since we recognize and acknowledge that Jesus is the answer - and I mean for/to everything - why do we so often live our lives as if that's not the truth? (I'm asking myself also, beloved.)  Let's resolve today to allow God to change our hearts in that regard.

If the key to living good, acceptable, mature lives is right in our hands, let's resolve to clutch it heartily and gratefully to our breasts and lovingly bow down to the God of the Universe, the Maker and Creator of Heaven and Earth!  Let's be THANKFUL that He is Who He is, and that He is on our side!  Above all, let's get on HIS side by giving Him complete steerage of our lives, and cease yielding our lives to the fruitless, prideful babblings of the flesh!

Humbly call upon Him to enable you to do it, and He will... I testify to His mercy and faithfulness in the blessed Name of Jesus the Christ of Nazareth... He will.

Let the Blood Be Applied

There's nothing like heartfelt prayer to begin another season of blogging.  Please join me in petitioning the Lord for His outstretched, merciful hand to apply the Powerful Blood of Jesus on all our plans, speech, and activities coming and going in Him, beloved...

Father, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth Who Came in the Flesh, let the Blood of Jesus be applied to every part of our lives submitted to You in trust, focus, humility, obedience, and utmost love. By Your Power, Lord, please cause and enable us to submit and remand all unsubmitted parts of our hearts and lives to Your custody.

Father, let the Blood be applied to all of our thoughts, opinions, imaginations, and desires... to every orifice and urge and forecast of Your plans for and in us.  Let the Precious Blood of Jesus cover our lives, circumstances, and perceptions, that we will yield all of them and all of us to Your care and custody; that we will obey Your commissioning over our lives, assignments, and daily activities at all times.

In order for us to love You and others by Your definitions, Holy Father, let the Blood be applied to continually wash our hearts, minds, wills, emotions, and thought processes. Please cover our hearts with Your Spirit of Obedience, and paint the Blood of Jesus continually over our inward doorposts and lintels that we remain soaked and saturated with Your LIFE in freedom and abundance, and that all death and its disastrous attributes will depart from us always.

In Jesus' Name we pray and thank You.  Amen.

God bless you all.
