Parents, don't be upset or disheartened in any way if the "song" God gives your children to sing isn't the same as yours. Just be glad they're serving Him and moving with the flow of His Spirit in these ever-changing times.
There's not a tool or invention of mankind that will ever take Daddy by surprise; He knows how to use all things to His glory (to bring human souls into intimate relationship with Him), and He can be trusted to guide your children with the same faithfulness with which He guided you. The sovereign, almighty, and righteous attributes of His character are unchangeable. Amen.
A generation of singers can suddenly bring forth writers hungry to share God's verbal expressions throughout creation via pen and paper.
Five generations of splendid craftsmen can give birth to passionate musicians, and from a breed of televangelists God can spawn a line of souls who desire only to foster His hospitality in the kitchens behind the scenes.
All that is born of Yahweh is holy, and all of it is blessed.
Beloved, our God IS originality and diversity... and He will bestow, impart, and powerfully enable His giftings and honorable abilities anywhere and any way and upon anyone He chooses in whatever timing He desires.
So if your kids aren't expressing their hearts for God in quite the same way to which you're accustomed, don't sweat it. Let Daddy's will prevail. If God's got a new thing in mind for them, rest assured, it is in that venue He will impart His passion. As long as they're following hard after Jesus Christ of Nazareth Who came in the flesh, let them be a butcher, baker, or candlestick maker even if your family has never been involved in such things. Allow God's Spirit to flow freshly through them in whatever way HE chooses, and be glad.
Here's to the "new thing" in God through Jesus the Christ,
"... fervent in spirit, serving the Lord."
